...National 'My-5-And-A-Half-Month-Old-Won't-Nap' Day!!! What the flip is going on? I even tried Fuss It Out and these buggers STILL won't go down! It's like the scene in all the Rocky movies where you think he's out and right before the ref gets to ten he's back up for more! I've never even seen a Rocky movie but I imagine that's how it goes. I'm delirious. Babies-2, Mom-0. Better get myself ready for round 3.

you are soooo right, it's TOTALLY contagious, we are *just* starting to get back on track with napping (yesterday afternoon was awesome), as the last 2 weeks something's definitely been up, and the schedules have been out of whack....here's hoping today keeps going the way it started, following our "old" schedule....

:rotflmbo: Love the illustration. Actually yes, we have experienced a weather change. We had winter (Houston winter=55 degrees) for about 4 days and then for the past two days I've been in shorts again. I think you might be on to something.

Can my ten month olds join in?! Mine keep 'telling' me they're tired, then when I lay them down, they are wide awake and raring to go...WTH (x2)! Well, there's always hope tomorrow will be a better day :)

Well, like the worst case scenario of bird flu, where it could mutate to cross from bird to human then human to human - all your 5 mo bad nappers have apparently infected my 8 mo olds! And over the internet, no less! DS skipped his first nap this morning, DD skipped her afternoon nap... And these kids are usually Old Faithful when it comes to napping. Oh my goodness, what a PLEASANT afternoon we had... <_<

It's all you guyses fault!!!

What the flip, indeed? My two decided to skip their third nap -- which is UNHEARD of, since we only recently dropped the fourth one.

And OMG, all the bellyaching during the nighttime routine just made me crazy....

    Here's to better naps tomorrow!

Its not just 5 1/2 month olds! My almost 9 month olds would not nap yesterday. I don't know why. They slept a total of 1 1/2 hours all day yesterday (they usually take 3 1-2 hour naps each day). So what did I do with them? Got them out of the house!!! Walked the mall last night and then were such angels (they LOVE getting out). They went to bed late last night because we were out a little later than I anticipated so I thought they'd sleep in... ha!!! They woke up laughing and talking at 5:30am. I let them play in there until 7 because they were having a blast playing thru the slats... plus I got another 45 minutes of sleep. I have no idea what is going on... maybe they are excited about the holidays

:rotflmbo: I just imagined my little munchkins being geeked about the holidays and then looked their way to find one eating a blanket and the other staring at his sleeve in amazement. Too funny. Makes me chuckle. :rotflmbo:
