so last night my LO that has issues self-soothing himself always wakes up about 2-3 times before mine and my DH's official bedtime.
we watched him on the camera...he woke up twice and went back to bed on his own. could my sleep training be working, lol? bc right now he's fussing in his crib and it's naptime, lol!

Your sleep training might be working! Hope he soothes himself back to sleep for his nap. Sending sleepy vibes his way!

THEY ARE BOTH SLEEPING!!!!! i had to rub his head until he was calm but hes sleeping.

the morning nap isnt our issue; its the afternoon nap. he wakes up evvvveryday after 30 mins of napping, then wakes his brother up, then we have full-fledge screams going and no one goes back to sleep. THATS the big issue. they can get to sleep after some struggles but its STAYING asleep.

ok; same story as always. he re-wakes 30 mins after he gets to sleep screaming. i soothed him, rubbed his head and had him so calm. he turned over like he was going to go to sleep on his side and screamed again when i left. this is my issue. :( the same LO re-wakes and can not get himself back to sleep and in turn, wakes his brother.

Well, at least they are self soothing & getting themselves to sleep at night & for one nap, right? That's progress!

    you are right.
now before i attempt nap #2 after their next feeding, when they re-wake up again (the same LO always does 30 mins in!!) do i just leave him in there to cry? when i go back in and soothe him, he finally calms down but then cries when i leave. i realllly have a hard time just letting him scream. if i do let him scream, he always wakes his brother and then they are BOTH screaming.

does this happen to anyone else and is there something else i can do BESIDES separate them into different rooms? i cant do that.

I would say for now, try putting him in a pack n play in a seperate room so he doesn't continue to wake his brother, and then let him cry a bit. He's got to learn how to put himself to sleep without you rubbing his head.

It's fantastic it's starting to work already, hang in there and see this through and you'll have blessedly sleeping babies in no time!

the pnp is in my DH's trunk. hahaha...and he will only calm down if i go back in there as of right now.
hmm...for today should i do that? i attempted him sleeping in the pnp once and it was a joke. he just laid there and kicked for an hour instead of napping.

If you are going to put them in that at-home daycare place that you posted about before it would also be a good idea to get them used to sleeping in PNPs, since she said all of the kids she keeps naps in those. When we traveled to the in-laws last month one of our babies had to sleep in a PNP. I was all worried that it would be too uncomfortable and he wouldn't sleep, but he actually slept just fine!

i agree; i will attempt the pack and play. i think i might wait until i can get them to actually stay asleep though before i try that. hmmm.

they just went down. they fell asleep during their bottles. the hard part is the fact that the one LO ALWAYS wakes up! he's my issue. i am anxious and hoping he stays asleep but in the 9.whatever months he's been alive, he's never done it, lol
