I put two clean, fed, changed, burped babies down for their first nap at 8. DD fell right asleep. DS screamed for 50 minutes, and finally fell asleep - just in time for DD to wake up.

UGHHHHH. If anyone out there is religious, please pray for them to have a long, SYNCHRONIZED afternoon nap so I can get a break!!!

Sounds like every day at my house! If someone knows how to get them to nap at the same time, please share your secret!!! I usually put them in separate rooms, but they still tag team me.

Just wanted to let you know that you aren't alone!!! -Leighann

Oh man, that is not the way to start the day. I hate that because then you have a baby all day long AWAKE!! I hope you get some "time off" this afternoon.

Whew! With herculean effort & dirty tricks like nursing to sleep, I've gotten them back in sync. They are both napping (for at least a couple more minutes), I've got a cup of coffee in me, and it's just a couple hrs til DH gets home.

I feel like such a bad mom sometimes because somedays I watch the clock like I used to at work. Like 7:00 is the time I get off work. I also count down the time before DH gets home. I feel for you that is pretty much how everyday is at my house for at least part of the day. I usually look like a zombie by the time DH gets home to give me some relief. I too use the nurse to sleep but then they usually wake up with in 20 minutes with a giant spit up <_<

Totally know what you mean! Motherhood is such a weird trip - I love my babies to pieces, I'd literally die for them - and I'd literally die for two hours to myself some days!!!
