This happened 4 hours ago and I'm still sick over it. The boys were playing in our front room (their "play room") this morning while I cleaned up after breakfast. Suddenly, I heard a loud thud and I knew instantly what had happened. A flashback of a news story about a girl kiled a couple years ago when a TV fell on her ran through my mind, while my heart stopped. Panicking, I ran to the play room and found Jackson, screaming and trying to get up from under the iMac computer that they have in their play area. My parents gave it to them - it was an old one they used to use for their business but no longer needed. I wasn't so sure they needed it but they like to play with it, so... why not? Now I feel SO sick over the fact that my son's face was smashed by this computer. It was only on a small children's table, so it didn't fall far, but I knew I should have attached it more securely. EVERYTHING in our house is attached to the wall or another piece of furniture. Why didn't I do the same with the computer?! It's like 25 lbs and it landed on my baby's face! Jackson seems to be okay. I'm watching him for any signs of concussion or anything like that. His face has a lovely gash and a big bruise in the shape of the top edge of the iMac... but I think he will be okay. Hope this at least helps to remind some of you to finish up those nagging babyproofing steps that you might be forgetting (if any of you are as bad of a mom as I am! <_< ).
's to Jackson and Momma. I'm sorry this happened but at least he's okay... and we all know this stuff gets us more then it does them. He'll forget all about it in a few days.
 Those things are so scary! I'm sure he will be fine. It's so hard, though, when that kind of thing happens! It feels like you age 100 yrs in a second.

 I'm sorry it happened. My son just two days ago pulled down a tv/dvd combo flat screen that was on the table. Broke the tv. Didn't get him. It was a 13 inch.
I know how scary and bad you feel  . This happened to us, although it was the computer desk. Nothing was on it. But it was one that the keyboard part slides out. Cameron grabbed it and of course it flew out and the whole desk landed right on his head. Scary part was watching it. It was like slow motion. Husband laughs at me cause he said i took one leap from across the room and grabbed the desk and literally threw it. I put a hole in the wall.Lol. He was fine but I freaked . Big big  Glad he's ok!
Oh Erin, I'm sorry!! I'm glad he's okay - and try not to beat yourself up too much. Kids always manage to find the one most dangerous thing aound - they're like little magnets
Yikes! I'm so glad he's okay -- and, I bet he'll recover 100 times faster than you will. Be kind to yourself, Erin -- these little munchkins just know how to find trouble. Hugs to you!
