I went up to get Maddox out of his crib after nap and found him standing on the other side of the door! :icon_eek:
Hee hee...I was afraid that the title of your post was going to be literal...I am glad it was only Maddox that you found on the other side of the door, and not **** on the fan. So, what is the plan? Crib tents or big kid bed?

oh my! My kiddos are only about 2 weeks older than yours. I know Gabe is already feeling his way to get out of the crib. I don't know what I would do. I'm sorry I don't have any advice! ps - I am glad you didn't literally have **** on your fan!

OH NO is right - you guys are only about a month and a half older than us...now I'm scared!!! Opening the door to a "greeter" would have scared the poop out of me, especially if I wasn't expecting it!! alexis
Uh Oh Jess!! Although, I have to say that he's been a climber since before he was ONE! So, I can't say I am surprised that he's JUST NOW doing that after 2 yrs. old...... Beats the $H..... out of having real poop on the fan!! :rotflmbo:
lol!! No Burkely is the queen of opening her diaper  We've learned thru her she must ALWAYS have a onesie on at naptime. ANYWAY lol! I don't know what to do. I absolutely do not want them in beds. Last night as dh and I were putting him down we made a big deal of saying "don't get out of bed" "Stay in your crib please" So this morning he was still there. He's soo tall and limber I'm not worried about him getting hurt but if he repeats this I may need to get the crib tent. For now I put a childproof door knob cover on the inside of his door so if he does get out he can't roam the house.

Glad it still works for you though! Definitly the child proof lock on the inside is a good idea. I have a lot of friends who do that. I'm waiting for the day mine start climbing out, but thankfully it hasn't happened yet. We are planning on transitioning them around the end of this year (they will be 2.5). So, we'll see how it goes!
Good luck, I hope that it's a phase and he'll start staying in bed for you! I think the safety locks on the inside of the door are a GREAT idea!

I know your pain. Yesterday I put E&E down and heard their music box start. Emma had gotten out of the crib and turned it on.
