"Oh Mommy!" (roll eyes)

Apparently Ana is 2 going on 20. Meara is right behind her... maybe 2 going on 12. We were at a party on Saturday and they both shouted at me, and rolled their eyes, when I started dancing to ABBA. "Mom-MEEEEE! DON'T DANCE!!!" I thought I'd have a couple more years before I became an embarassment to them. I wonder if I'll have to park around the corner from the preschool next year too

LOL! Yep, you'll be dropping them off two blocks from the playground...

 

Jacob does this, too. Especially if I try to sing, or if I sign the ABC's while they sing them. He acts like I am such a total embarrassment. The first time he did it, I was floored. I thought I had at least a few more years!

 

:rotflmbo: Oh, that is too funny! Yeah, and when you go shopping they'll make sure you're at least 10 paces behind them so the other kids won't know they're with their mom.

We have one of those moments every once and a while

 

It was also accompanied by her sticking her hand out like "STOP!" She must have learned that from Dora ("Swiper no swiping!"). My sweet Ana is definitely going to be a handful.

 

Jake and Hailey will actually argue about it. I ALWAYS sing along to their songs in the car, and Jake will say "Mommy! No singing from you!" and then Hailey will say "It's ok Mommy, you can sing" to which Jake yells "NO!"

He also doesn't like it when I dance. I don't know what his problem with me is ... :laughing:

The other day we were getting ready to go out to eat and I had just put my shirt on and Ava said "are you fat mommy"!!!!!!! oh my goodness at least she asked and wasn't telling me I was fat but she is 2 for goodness sake!

then when we got in the car - Addison would not get out of her barbie jeep - I said come on let's go! She said "Let's just drive my car" I guess mine is not cool enough!!
