Oh, gross.

It was really warm here today (nearly 70 degrees), so the bean beetles were out in full force. A few of them always manage to make it into the house. Apparently, Karina has perfected her pincer grasp and managed to pick one up and eat it. I didn't know this until she threw it up. Ewww. I hope this was the first and last bug she will ever eat. :bad:

 

Ewwww. :bad: And what a way to find out! I hope it's the last one she eats too. Ewww.

Oh, yuck! Spit-up is gross enough without a bug being in it! Hopefully that was her last bug ever!!

Nope. It didn't phase her in the slightest. She just went right on playing.

 

Urghh! 2 days ago I took a dead fly oiut of Elliot's moiuth in he morning and then took a small bug iout his moiuth in the afternoon! He was just chomping on them! yuck.

 

:bad: Hardly anything makes me gag but this certainly did! Good thing she was unphased!

I heard somewhere that in our lifetimes we eat several bugs while we are sleeping - I wonder if that's true?

I shudder to think some of the things my kids have put in their mouths during their childhoods.
Apparently, poop makes good finger paints to a 2 year old... What a way to start the morning. Not looking forward to that phase again.

Apparently my brother used to eat box elder bugs with great relish.
Kids are gross.

(My Mom accidentally chomped down on one of those nasty brown excuses-for-a-ladybug in her pasta one night. Needless to say, no one else ate after that. I thought she was gonna have a nervous breakdown. Yick.)
