I was sitting in my dining room, putting together the snap press I bought to make diapers with. The boys were playing in the next room, and I could hear them laughing and playing. They got kind of quiet, but were still laughing, so I didn't worry about them.

    Until I smelled it.

    Poop.

Way stronger smelling poop than I would expect. I got up and walked around the corner and found them. Roman had his diaper off (inspite of the fact that I had put it on BACKWARDS to keep him from taking it off) and the boys were sitting in a pile of poop, smearing it all over themselves, each other, the walls, the carpets, the baby gate, and their toys.

    :(

Double trouble is right, at least today.

    Sorry Aimee-
I wanted to let you know that I do feel bad for you! (probably didnt sound like it in my original reply) I cant even imagine the mess that was to clean up...you poor poor thing.
I just cant believe how many diaper issues you have had with these boys! No wonder you had the diaper on backwards...guess he was too smart for that!
Hope your day had gotten better!

I'm glad you all could have a good laugh, too! As gross as it was to clean up, I am chuckling over their ingenuity. The funniest part is, they had JUST eaten, so they had only been without a onesie for all of 10-15 minutes because I figured it would be okay to let them run around in their diapers for a half hour before nap time.

    Learned my lesson--again!

(At least now that I have a snap press, I can make them dipes that they can't open!!!)

Oh yuck! You poor mommy! Just add it to the list of reasons to get your wonderful Mother's Day gifts - and then give them the list when they're 16! :)

I'm feeling for you, but admittedly I'm laughing, too. Those boys and their diapers..didn't you post a picture about a month ago with them taking off their diapers??

    This is my future

Well actually it's not too far off from the present. I got pooped on yesterday, so I can relate a little. I took Eli down to get the mail, and when I was coming back up I felt a warm sensation on my arm. I thought oh no, he peed through his diaper, and it got on my arm. I took him upstairs to change him, and I realized it was poop--it was all up his back, and had soaked through my arm. Yuck!!

I just need to say, you are so creative!! You must be like a SUPERMOM! You are going to make your own diapers? What other cool things do you do besides make diapers and handmade blocks for your babies? Can you give me some hints on how to get my 5 month olds to hapily go to sleep without crying!!!
