Do you seem bigger at night then in the morning… I’ve noticed in that last few days, that I don’t pop out as much in the morning (I’m still huge for how far I am) but come the evening… I look like I’m a month further along then I did in the morning… has anyone else noticed this and if you have, do you have any idea why? Or am I just imagining it?

It is so funny you brought this up...this morning I was thinking I didn't look as big as I did last night and I always weigh myself in the morning and in the evening and almost always there is a 4lb difference! weird

I was always was bigger at night. I would think it has more to do with swelling and fluid than anything else.

Wow 4 pounds… I’m sure there is at least a 4 pound difference in me between AM and PM… And would explain the size difference… I never thought to weigh myself, but I have such body issues (like I’m in therapy to help me through this pregnancy bad body issues) that I had to throw away my scales (well really my husband did)… and I have to get on the scale at the Dr. backwards (to not see the weight)… and the nurses will cover my weight for me on the chart and make sure they put the scale back to zero when I get off… but that’s another post

Swelling is probably exactly what it is… I just don’t remember this big of a difference with my singleton (or ANY difference for that matter)… but like a mom of twins at my sons school said to me… “hun, twins are a different animal…”

yeah i am bigger at night sometimes due to swelling but i take all my belly pics at night so they all match because in the am, im way lopsided because they seem to be laying on my right side only! i think its normal, its been that way with my belly since i started to show. And dont feel bad i feel huge now to and still have 3-4 months to go

They told me that it is probably swelling and gas, after eating and drinking throughout the day.

Considering eating and drinking is the one of the things I do to keep nausea at bay… it would explain it… maybe next time my DH says something about my belly getting bigger… I’ll just rub my belly and say “Oh this???? This is just gas….”

"Normal" people (non-twin-pregnant-people) experience this, too. Everyone's supposed to weigh about 2 lbs more toward the evening, so doctors recommend weighing yourself at the same time everyday. I'd say the twin belly exaggerates the effect. :)

Oh yes! Even when not pregnant, I know I weigh more at night, so I would always weigh myself in the morning - after going to the bathroom, before eating! But yep, my belly looks and feels a LOT bigger at night! I'm also more uncomfortable at night, probably from being up and walking around and everything.
