I am 35 + 2 today. I had my weekly check-up and the OB did the Group B strep test. Since she was all up in my lady parts anyway, I asked her to check my cervix.

I was floored when she said I was 4 cm dilated! When I was 4 cm with my son, I was already at the birth center (water had broken, contractions started), and I was begging for my epidural because of the pain. I guess it really can be different each time.

She did send me home, but said to make sure everything is ready for me to come in and deliver. Sometimes women can last a couple of weeks at 4 cm, but with the total amount of baby I've got pushing on my thin cervix (bedrest for the past 10 1/2 weeks), I'd be surprised if that was me.

I really had hoped to make it to 36-37 weeks, but after all I've been through with this pregnancy since 25 weeks, I am thrilled to be this far. I am so excited to meet them!

    The waiting continues... for now...

4cm wow that is so awesome! Maybe those babies will just fall out with little effort or pain! I would be stoked! So wonderful!

Wow! With my oldest DD I was 4-5 cms at one point and delivered her just 10-15 minutes later

Hold on just a liiiiiiittle bit longer. 35wks is fantastic but try to tack on just a few more days to a week (like you can help it ;)) YAY!

Way to go for holding on so well! You've done well and you should be proud. I managed to stay 4 cm dilated about 3 weeks before my boys decided they wouldnt be stopped anymore. Bedrest is no fun and every day you make it helps that much more. You're almost there!

I was talking to my friend who is a baby nursery nurse. She said most all the boys after 35wks do very well. So congrats on making it past 35wks. 4cm WOW.

Thanks ladies! My husband and I went to the hospital last night... I thought my water had broken. Turns out Twin A was just lower in my pelvis and must have squished my bladder. I am exhausted right now, but still pregnant and hoping to hang in there as long as possible. Isn't this so fun. :FIFblush:

I am still hanging in there! Today I am 36 weeks, so no more meds and bedrest. :woohoo: I am still going to take it VERY easy -- I'm super huge, uncomfortable, and weak from 11 weeks laying down. I just missed my first dose of Procardia for the day, we'll see what happens...!!!!
