Does anybody have any ideas for a nursery theme for b/g twins? Our U/S tech told us today she is 90% sure we are having b/g, so I would love to start getting some ideas. Thanks!

We didn't know what we were having, so we went with a neutral theme. The walls are a light apple green and we have jungle animal bedding (here it is).

We're also having B/G twins who will be sharing a room. We haven't picked it yet but we are choosing a cute "kid" animal print wallpaper border that will be at chair rail height. I found a bunch at www.decoratetoday.com. We're going less baby and more bright. Under it will be green paint to match the border (either light green or lime green) and above it will be white or cream paint. I have my own quilting business so I'll be making quilted wall hangings for the twins. They will be the same size and about the same pattern but one will be green/blue/yellow and one will be green/pink/yellow. Of course my 3 year old's quilt isn't done yet so the twins may be in high school before I finish... We are ordering the border soon and are still trying to get the room clear of all my sewing stuff so my husband can get going on it.

    Have fun decorating!

We are having boy/girl twins and went with Patchwork Stars from Osh Kosh. Unfortunately they don't make it anymore so we bought pieces to decorate and went with neutral bedding.

We are having B/G twins and went with winnie the pooh ... we did the Patchwork Pooh from Babies R US ...

It's not overly Pooh-ish ... and not too crazy colorful or bright ... we painted the walls a green to match what was in the quilt ... it really looks so beautiful ... i'm a big pooh fan, so it worked for me ... good luck!

I wanted sort of a "vintage" feel, as I had Good Housekeeping prints of a boy and a girl -- which went over each crib -- so I ended up with some Banana Fish bedding:

I wasn't sure what else to put on the walls, though -- I don't like everything to match -- so the nursery ended up more Americana than vintage. I posted pics of it a few days ago -- here it is again -- I love how it came out. Hope I'm not beating you guys over the head with this!

Incidentally, our first nursery for our daughter was done in Classic Pooh -- not the bedding, just accents -- with walls in blue and green. I think it was fairly unisex as well (this is in a different house):

We painted the room a light sage green and put up Classic Pooh Wallpaper from Target. We just got fitted sheets for the cribs and decided that "all" the bedding was unnecessary. I also painted wooden letters with their names in pink and blue and put those over the cribs to give them "their own space."

I am having b/g twins and we also are using the classic pooh from Target. We bought the set that just came out. It is called classic pooh sage.

That is what I was going to use for a crib that they could share until my wonderful DH came home and suprised me yesterday. He went out and bought me two beautiful cribs. So now I am also going to get the girl classic pooh set. (also from Target)

Before finding out the sexes we chose the precious moment theme.. it had both boys and girls in the borders, blankets and everything.

We are having b/g twins and didn't necessarily want to go with a "theme" per say. I just looked through all the nursery bedding websites and mag's to find one that came in boy colors and one that came in girl colors but with the same pattern. I almost had some made but then I found some at potterybarn kids that I liked...
ribbon lace or something like that...
But I also had thought about getting the same skirt on both in a neutral color and just changing the sheets color or something.
    Hope this helps!!

I don't like themes. Their room is pretty small. I have a pink side and a blue side. I hope to have a house big enough so that they'll soon have their own rooms. I don't like neutrals either (yellow / green), so I bought stuff that they can still use when they move to their own room so that I don't waste money on gender neutral just because they share a room at this age and in the end they want to have a boy and a girl's room.

we haven't gotten the nursery together yet, but it will have the walls painted in a sage green color, the bedding and window treatments are being made out of sage central park toile, pale yellow, and green check fabrics. And our armchair glider is a very pale yellow check. Not so much a theme, but coordinating colors.
I'm having an artist friend of mine add some small painted embellishments around the windows, doors, and closet, and she's also going to be painting their names in script above their cribs.

What about honey bees? I have seen alot of cute bee stuff online at Target and Babies R Us. We are doing honeybees and ladybugs for ours. Just in case they are wrong about 2 girls the theme would still work. [IMG] Good Luck
