I'm sure this is tmi, but if anyoune has any suggestions I would appreciate it. My LO's are 4 months and I'm still not enjoying sex. I am not having much feeling down there, and I still feel numbness around my c-sec scar. Is this normal or has anyone else experienced this?

Numbness for me lasted about 6-7 months. I think I was still numb to some degree until they turned a year, at which point I was pregnant again! LOL

I remember asking the same question and several other people chimed in about having numbness in their c-section scar area for a good 6 months or so after...

OMG! I thought that I was the ONLY one who this was happening to!! I have been numb since I delivered on June 25th. I had one baby vaginally and one via emergency C-section so I just figured the combo had ruined me down there. Still hoping it's only temporary because having sex is not enjoyable at all. I feel almost nothing! :shok:  :help:

Same here, and my poor husband is starting to think I dont want to have sex with him. I dont remember having trouble like that with my first son, but that was 12 years ago and I had him vaginaly. Thanks for the post, I'm glad I'm not alone!

As far as numbness around the c-section scar, my babies are now 7 months and I still am. I've been told that it can last years, as nerve endings have been completely cut through.

    Good luck!!!

My girls are almost 10 months and I still have some numbness. It only bothers my once in a while during sex. My friend had a 2 yr old when I had my girls and she said her c-section scar is still numb. I guess it can take a while, unfortunately!

Well after having 3 c/s I'm pretty sure my numbness is here for good! ;) But after my first and second the numbness lasted well after my babies turned 1 yr old. And I had a couple of spots that the feeling never did return.

It really sucks when it's itchy, because you can scratch it but can't feel it and it still feels itchy!

Well I didn't have a c-section, but I can empathize with you.... My twins are 8 weeks old and things still don't feel put back together yet down there....If you know what I mean. LOL. I still have pelvic pain and I am really itchy down there. Way TMI I know.....

After my first c-section my numbness was still around the incision area well over a year later.
