My husband put our pacifiers in the dishwasher and now they have water on the inside of the nipple. Has this happened to anyone? Is it dangerous? Will they mold now?

How do you wash your pacifiers?

Mine always got water in them after washing (we washed by hand). I figured it was a feature of the pacifier, like you could get water in it and chill it so it would feel good on teething gums.

Weirdly enough, that's the only way Nate took a pacifier. We'd fill it with water, and he would make these squishy, sucking noises that he liked. We'd call it the "water paci" treatment. ;)

It's fine...just sit it out and it will evaporate.

Thanks! I was afraid I would have to buy new ones!

How sweet - water paci treatment! Will have to give that one a try!

When this happens to us we just squeeze the water out, it will come out the end where the ring is attached. Mine never got moldy. We usually just rinse them under hot water, and clean the gunk that collects on the front side again where the ring connects.

I myself hate the squishy paci sound so I would clean them out! HA HA! :)

You can squeeze the water out as its happened to ones we have. However, my DD´s eventually went mouldy so we had to get a new one!

I've never had one go moldy, I just squeeze the water out and let it air dry! :D
