I have never had a NST test done, I heard all you have to do is push a button when the babies move to see if there heart rate goes up. When did you all start yours.

And what about the Glucose test - when did you do yours?

I am just trying to see if my Doc is giving me and my babies all the attention they need.

I am 21 weeks pregnant and have 1 Doc appt a month plus we are averaging 1 Ultrasound a week.

Best thing is though no problems other than total exaustion!!!!

    Thanks Moms!

my dr has mentioned the NSTs but i still havent had one. at my office all prego women do the glucose test between 24 and 28 weeks. i just started going to my dr every two weeks and i have u/s every two weeks. i also see the peri every 4 weeks. i think every dr is different, but it sounds like you are right on track!!

My OB hasn't mention doing NSTs but my peri has. My OB is only seeing me once a month until 28 weeks when we do to every two weeks. I currently see my peri every two weeks until 30 weeks, that's when I start going weekly and I think that's when I start having NSTs. During my first pregnancy I only had NSTs if I didn't feel the baby was moving enough or if I was having contractions but I think that's typical for singleton pregnancies.

I don't have a Peri. I guess I have all of my trust in my OB. He does deliver at a great Hospital with a great NICU, so I should trust him.

Thank you for your responses it makes me feel better. He is a good Doctor and hasn't done or said anything for me not to trust him.

My NST start once a week at 32 weeks and at 34 weeks I will go twice a week. I have had one before and all I did was sit there but that was with my son over 2 years ago. Things could have changed. At 22 weeks I started going to my doctor every 2 weeks. They never suggested a Peri to me so I don't have one.

I did my glucose test at 26 weeks. The drink was gross (sorry).

Glad you hear you pregnancy is going well but the exustion won't go away.

I started having NSTs at around 28 weeks. Shortly thereafter, I was admitted for hospital bedrest, and so I had them there twice a day. When I was released at 32 weeks, I had a nurse come to my house twice a week until I delivered. To be honest, I do not recall when I had my first glucose test, but I know I did a second one while in the hospital (so sometime between 28-32 weeks).

my NST's started at 32 weeks, 2 per week until delivery. infact the last NST i went to i was admitted and had my girls the next day due to dialating to 4 cm and then to 5 within 2 hours after they checked me. that and i was having contractions that i wasn't feeling.

    lots of love! Meshell

I was nervous too because my doctor hadn't made me take any tests yet either, and I didn't have a peri yet. I got my peri around 26 weeks and my first glucose test around 24 weeks, and I am scheduled for another Glucose on Thursday. Everything is excellent with my pregnancy, but I have an average of two appointments a week and it is so annoying to have to always have to go all the time! I am scheduled for my first NST test in 4 weeks and I will be 34 weeks then, and my peri said after that I will have one every week. So don't worry about all the appointments they are coming. In about 3 weeks you will be tired of going to your doctors appointments although the benefit of going so much is I always get to see my babies at every appointment with and that is always exciting :D

I started NST's at 28 weeks because I was a little high risk - "advanced maternal age" - how I hated that recurring phrase! And went every week until 32 or 34 weeks, and then twice a week. I had my glucose test about 24/26 weeks.

    Good luck!

I started weekly NST's at 32 weeks. Did glucose tests at 22 and then 26 weeks. I have always gone to the Dr every two weeks and get Growth U/S every 4. I get one everytime i am getting an NST and going to the Dr though.

I haven't started the NST's yet, not sure when I'm going to, but I have been going for weekly u/s and biophysical profiles (bpp) due to some blood pressure problems in the second tri. I think I started the bpp's at 28 weeks. My GTT was at 27 or 28 weeks, I don't remember anymore.

    Good luck!

I had NST's two days a week every week for two months before the babies were born. So, 29-30 weeks I began.

Glucose test....right at 2 months and 6 months.

I've been doing my NSTs twice a week since 29 weeks, I think I started earlier than she originally planned for me due to PTL. I do not have to push a button, I just lay there with the monitors on my belly.

I think we did the glucose test around 26-27 weeks.

It sounds like you are on track with the # of appointments you are having.
