So I went for my NST this afternoon and even the nurse asked me why I was there this early on. I told her I didn't know, I just did what I was told and showed up! She looked to see what it said on my papers and it said elevated BP. She checked my BP and it was perfect, so she was getting confused.. She told me that at 28w4d we would not be able to get the results that the OB wanted from this test but we'll go ahead and try. So we hooked the babies up and got lucky. I think they were resting at the time so we had no problem getting them to stay under the monitors. This was at 12 o'clock. At 12:30 she came over and asked me if I was feeling contractions, I told her no. She said " Well you've had about 5 in the last 30 minutes honey". I was very shocked. At the end of the hour I had a total of 7. So she calls my OB and he tells her to give me the Terb shots again to stop it. Which it did. She also told him the monitoring was not giving him the results he wanted so we had the ultrasound guy come down to check. Luckily it was someone that I knew well from my Peri's office. So he did the scan and everything came back good. I got hooked back up to the monitors for a bit to make sure the contractions stopped since I had been off the monitors for the BPP. They didnt see any more so they let me go home.

Now I am all frazzled because I still continue to contract without feeling it. They did not re-check my cervix while I was there so I have no idea if I have dialated more since last week. I won't know that until I see my Peri on Tuesday. So all in all, my NON- STRESS test was chock full of stress ( for me anyways ). Even my nurse told me it was just a matter of time before I get sent there to stay. The not knowing what is going on in there is the hardest part! I know my babies are ok, so it's one less thing to worry about....

I started my NST's early too..not sure why the nurse wouldn't be able to do them?? Sounds like she was just being mean! Sorry to hear about your contrax. I hope your peri has good news for you on Tuesday.

So sorry to hear about your NST! Try not to worry too much...At least you'll be seeing your peri in a few days. Just relax...put your feet up....if you do have more than 4-6 contractions/hour, give your doctor a call. Hugs to you! :hug99:

Try not to worry too much. Take it easy and focus on one day at a time! :hug99:

I'm really really trying!! :) I found out both my Peri and my OB are out of town this weekend  I know there are on call docs but I really hate seeing people who don't know me or my history. I had a few whopper contractions last night, so I am praying I don't have any more this weekend.

I started NSTs pretty early and always had a few BH contractions here and there. It sounds like they're monitoring your BP and you're in good hands :hug99:. Hang in there; each week is better than the last!

It's the pits that the "educated med staff" that attends us has this habit of inducing emotional stress in us when we were are having to be under the monitors. . . and I think that emotional stress and anxiety makes us contract more. At least, that has totally been my experience too.

I got treated and put on bedrest with my DS#2 when one of my OBs happened to feel me having a random painless contrax at a routine appointment. She scared the bejeebers out of me, sent me straight to the hospital for admittance and preterm labor treatment. . . I was so nervous that my painless contrax just kept coming and coming.
