I have NST's twice a week and I see my OB this Friday but last night and I am so sorry for (TMI) I strained really hard going to the bathroom and after I was vrey swollen in the Va JJ area and have had continous pressure down in the rectal area, so I was wondering if I should just wait till Friday when I see the OB or maybe ask when I go to my NST this morning if they could do a quick check.

Maybe you are swollen from all the blood flow. I swear, mine is unrecognizeable! As for the rectal pressure, I have a ton. Baby A is laying a certain way and causing it. I had a scan yesterday and my cervix is still long, thick, and closed. You could always ask their opinion. Do you see your peri while you are there?

I saw my peri yesterday and they have never check my cervix, they said if these were IVF twins they would but not with spontanious twins. The only time I have had it checked is when I wen't to L&D for my contractions and my last OB appt on the 29th, both times I was a finger tip.

You can always request a check, tell them about your pressure. I am not having IVF babies, but I am getting checked onace a week. Also doing the FFN test everyother week.

quick update went for the NST the Dr. said she would see me in her office, they found key tones in my urine and I went from being a finger tip to a comfortable 1 almost two!!! Yikes...they are both head down again so if they stay that way we have agreed to try vaginal.

the ketones in your urine mean that you are dehydrated, which makes constipation worse (hence the straining), and more importantly dehydration can cause preterm labor. so drink, drink, drink!! ;)
