and they can't sit for longer than a minute or two unsupported and they aren't crawling yet. WHAT THE HECK AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH THEM?????? Any of the other 6 monthers in this boat? They practically pop out of their bumpo seats and DS won't stay in the bouncy....he leans over until his head is on the ground! We have both the baby einstein activity center thingy and the baby einstien jumperoo. They get bored of these almost before they are in them as they have been using them for so long now. Tummy time and play mats only last sooo long as well. They would do better sitting but they always fall over as they are reaching for a toy and Lily is VERY close to crawling but the way Jack flails his arms and legs about like a beached turtle, I don't see him getting anywhere very soon! We do as many walks as we can but it is getting to be a pain to bundle them up - even Florida has cold days! Thanks for the vent - anyone else here as well???? Amy
As usual, I'm right there with you. Bumbos seem to bore them now, and bouncies are out of the question - at least for DS. We do A LOT of rotating between floor time, activity mats, excersaucer, jumperoo and walker. I seriously feel as if Babies R Us has thrown up in my house some days with all the "gear" everywhere. But ya gotta do what ya gotta do to get through the day! My DD is a peanut, and she still enjoys the swing too! I find that 15 minutes is the max they will spend doing any one activity, so between feeding and a few rotations, we manage to make it through our playtime. I'm looking foward to mobility if only for the fact I can get rid of some of this stuff and get some space back!! Good Luck!
Same here. Hope gets really bored if you hold her because she wants to be on the go and can't go anywhere yet and Grace she just gets bored. They have been very cranky here lately. I think the next step we are waiting on is mobility and they will be satisfied. Until then who knows what to do with them. Missy
I remember when they got bored of their activity center, swings, bouncy, bumbo- basically my whole arsenal. What did we do? Put them on a blanket with toys around them. When they got more mobile we got a play yard to enclose the blanket. Now we have the living room gated and we baby proofed and they have free range. We have toys in bins and then LOVE going over and emptying the bins!

I'm in the same boat - but mine aren't too bored yet - do you have any boppies? mine sit in them assisted for a while and "talk" to each other. They grab at things and balance for a while like that - they also fall and then end up laying in them in weird positions so they're more entertained than just tummy time.
"seriously feel as if Babies R Us has thrown up in my house some days with all the "gear" everywhere. But ya gotta do what ya gotta do to get through the day!" Too funny Susie! I feel the same way!!! I think DH may leave me if I buy one more exercauser! Amy

My "little peanut" Ellie is much smaller (by 4lbs) and more laid back than Henry (Hank the Tank). She isn't as mobile yet, so she's content to lay in the swing and watch the world go by for a while still. If we put DS in the swing, I can hear the motor working OT, and he spends the whole time trying to get himself up and out (not so peanut like in my mind!!!). How did your DD end up as a "bean"? Amy Now those would be some fun pictures to see and compare....people's homes/living areas before twins and after!! I think my husband feels the same way. I'm a craigslist junkie when it comes to baby gear! I even buy stuff for the Grandma's house, so I won't have to drag stuff with me each time we visit (which isn't even that often!!). Have a great weekend! Suzi

I finally got rid of all the "arsenal" a couple weeks ago and made more room for them to crawl around in.
