Now I know what it's like to have a typical newborn!

The day we had Blake we thought he was going to be trouble, he was screaming his head off before the rest of his body was even delivered and cried when anybody messed with him as far as taking his temp, diaper changes, baths etc. Now he doesn't really cry all that much, but he is way more needy than any of my girls ever were.
I'm beginning to think my girls as newborns weren't your typical newborns. They especially the twins never cried, I mean never, they didn't wake up to eat so we had to set the alarm to feed them, they loved baths, could care less if they were getting dressed or diapers changed or where they slept.
Not Blake! He doesn't like baths, getting dressed or diaper changes although he tends to fuss instead of screaming like he did in the hospital. With our girls we always started out with them sleeping in a bassinet, but I don't have one anymore and didn't want to buy one so I figured we'd start him right off in the crib next to my bed. When we put him down in there he usually wakes right up and starts fussing,I have had him sleep in there for 3.5-3 hours at a time but not every night for sure. My DH thinks he is such a hard, fussy baby but I have to keep reminding him that he really isn't, he's just a normal newborn and because our girls were so unusually easy we are not used to that.

But he's a cutie, right? I hope all the fussiness goes away soon and you all get some sleep.

Definitely is and I wouldn't trade him for anything. I really don't mind staying up all night with him either.

    Congratulations!!!!!

I guess you were really fortunate your girls were so easy. Your baby boy sounds like my two. Still waiting for the temper tantrums to pass. Oh well, maybe some day
