I'm getting a little worried. Niether of the twins are walking yet. My older two walked at ten months. Josh and Jordan are almost 14 months old. Josh will take maybe three wobbly steps and sit down. Jordan will not. She cruises around holding on to everything but won't let go. As soon as she does she immediately sits down. Should I be worried?

Mine started walking at 15 months, even though they had attempted their first wobbly steps months before that. It took them a long time to finally let go!

My girls didnt start walking till they were 17months old. I thought they were never going to walk. I wouldnt worry to much. My singleton son started walking at 11months. When the girls passed 11months I too got worried but they did start walking and as soon as they started walking they running right after that.

as long as they are mobile and cruising, I wouldn't worry. The normal range for walking is 12-18 months.

Don't worry- mine were 17 months adjusted- just started walking last week. They aren't professionals yet [IMG] but they are doing it. It literally happened within a matter of days- and for Kaysie- it was like over night!!! We were told as long as they were cruising and doing all the things leading up to walking- there was nothing to be worried about and it would happen in their due time- and I hated hearing that because as mommy - I wanted it now and what do you know- it did happen- on their schedule!

Don't worry. As long as they are mobile in some fashion by 12 months - crawling, cruising, scooting, making some sort of attempt to move around, that is considered normal. I have one that walked at 11 months and one that just started walking last week.

Mine were 18 months, so truly try not to worry. As the previous poster said - it can take a long time before they let go!!

My guys are big boys for 15.5 months and finally Benjamin is taking steps in the last few days. Gideon can't even stand unsupported yet, he will walk when we hold his hands, but no letting go for him yet. As long as they walk by summer so we can actually play outside I will be happy.

Jessy started walking over night at 16 months(Jazz walked at 11.5 months). No worries as long as they are cruising but you might watch for gait problems. We are taking Jessy next month to the dr to see about her gait problem(swings leg when she walks).

Mine were both 13-14 months before they were actually walking. FYI - they were born 6 weeks early.

my girls will be 16 months on the 18th...one has been taking 7 or 8 steps only for the past 2 months, so not officially walking yet, and the other is cruising only and just figured out how to stand up on her own this week...i'm looking at 16+ months for both right now. Dr. isn't worried...

My kids are almost 14 months old and Charlie still isn't walking. He has no fear walking behind a push toy, but has only taken a few steps on his own. He gets pretty scared when he realizes he isn't holding on. Kate walked a few weeks before they turned 1. I figured Charlie would take off soon after, but nope! I guess he has been crawling so long (since 5 1/2 months), that he doesn't want to give that up!

Puck walked at 17 months. The doctor stressed to me that even the range to 18 months is being reconsidered as a guideline. Evidently, babies sleeping on their backs (although important for safety) results in later milestones like pushing up, sitting up, etc. since they aren't building those muscles as early as if they were on their tummies.

mine just started motoring, one walks all over the house by herself and the other one still needs a hand to help her, they will get it when they are ready to do it. Don't worry about it.
