not very cuddly?

I don't know if this is reason to worry, or if it's just dd's personality. She's a lot less cuddly than her brother....unless she's REALLY tired and 1/2 way asleep she won't just cuddle into your arms. She wants to be turned around & looking out. It's almost impossible to rock her to sleep; she likes to be in her crib. That part I don't know if it's my fault, since from the beginning we've tucked them into bed at night for bedtime & maybe it's just what she's used to. We have started a little game at night where I'll ask her for "sweet hugs" and she'll kind of lean towards me & touch her head to my tummy. She loves to play, laugh, and is very social. I guess I worry extra for her since she's been in some physical therapy for torticollis (which is all better now) and being a little behind in gross motor skills.

That sounds normal to me. One of mine LOVES to cuddle and the other not so much.

Sounds like they just have different personalities.

I agree, it sounds like a personality to me. James prefers to fall asleep in his crib, and you can hardly ever get a hug or cuddle from him because he's soooo busy!

WOW! That describes one of mine too. I have wondered the same but felt funny asking about it. So THANK YOU for asking about this.

Neither of the girl's are cuddly unless they are tired or sick. I'm hoping that changes soon though.

I have 1 cuddly and 1 not. I chalk it up to personality. They are both social and love physical contact. 1 just doesn't like to cuddle. I get my kisses and hugs ayway.

2/3 of mine are too busy for snuggling. I do enjoy my one little cuddler!

Its totally normal. My oldest was not cuddly at all. She loves hanging out alone, just watching everyone. I remember she loved to sit in her stroller and stare at the side of it. I cried and cried thinking I had done something wrong! She is still VERY independent, but did come around to cuddling occasionally.

I have always had 1 of each. Good news is now at 4 the loner likes to give kisses. Most of the time they are only for mommy, but he is coming around.
