not sure what is wrong

I havent felt good all day, ive had pain under my boobs kind of where my ribs are. the pain is kind of like a sharp pain but then just lingered with uncomfortable pressure. i know that baby B is in my ribs and know what that always feels like, but I have no idea what is wrong today. I know its not gas (went #2 and can pass gas) sorry if tmi. if anyone has any ideas or suggestions on how to make it feel better i appreciate it? just not sure what it could be both babies are moving B more than A but thats always

Is it on your right or your left? If it is on your right, it could be your gallbladder.
I guess it could be a baby pushing up in there too... I think I read something about putting ice near where you think the baby is can help make the baby move!

its kind of on both sides, its probably the babies pushing stuff around lol. ill try the ice thing i heard it works too. thanks

I had funky pains like that too I think it was just due to baby positions but if I were you, I would call the OB and just let them know!

could be the thin muscles around your ribs stretching. It feels like itching, burning, sunburn and sharp pain sometimes.

 

I had pain exactly like what you mentioned and it was my gall bladder. Gall bladder can be deceiving b/c people often associate it with one-sided pain. For me, mine was right in the middle (where the sternum and ribs meet) and was pretty severe. It also radiated to BOTH sides from there. I was hopitalized for 3 days for pain management b/c it wouldn't get any better and placed on a low-fat, bland diet. This was a week before I delivered. I had a scan and they found stones. I had it removed 2 months post-partum.

 

I get that all the time too...I think is was a pp said. I think it is the skin/muscle stretching on rib cage. I use a hot pad on it (not too hot), and it seems to soothe it for a while. Sometimes I take Tylenol when it gets really bad.

 

I am only due with my twins in July so can't really tell you as far as "twins" go, but I had that type of pain with my last baby and he was a big boy. I used to have to just massage him off of my rib cage. For some reason he used to like to snuggle up there.

 

I am also thinking gallbladder. Mine was like a belt was squeezing me around my ribs. I hope you are feeling better soon.

 

Sounds like the baby shifted a foot into something. Hope you feel better!

 

If it is the position of the baby, then try getting down on all fours and let your belly hang. Arch your back and let it out, see if that helps.
