not interested

My boys have no interest in the potty or anything to do with it. Justin was having poop issues and we would give him meds to go poop. We would have enough time to put his diaper on before he would start to poop. We would put him on the pottyto go. I think that we have scared them away from the potty because of the poop problems before. It really scares me to think that I did something to make them hate the potty. I am also wondering if they would remember the time when it hurt to go poop on the potty?

What can I do to fix the problem? How can I get them interested in the potty?

My girls weren't interested at all until about 3 years 3 months, and then potty trained with virtually no real effort within a week -- pee and poo. So tell him to mellow out.

 

I dont even bother until they are three. By then they can understand that they do not have to fear the potty! LOL!

 

Joy turned three in March and absolutely will not do it. Joel was four before he was willing! The twins were 2.5 and learned with no issues. It really all depends on each child, and unlike my Mom, I refuse to force them to do it with "the spoon" in my hand. They will do it when they are ready... so just tell him to relax, it WILL happen eventually.
