It seems like they go through phases where one week they eat all the time & another week not much. But for the past week or so, it seems like they're not eating anything! I know I've been told, they'll eat if they're hungry, you can't force them to eat....blah, blah, blah. But they seriously take like 2 bites from each meal! I know they're still drinking enough; love milk, water & juice. I'm just worried. However, if auntie or grandma offers them a cookie or chips, they eat those up. I don't want to offer them junk food, but I'm really hoping they start eating more.

Is this a normal phase? I just don't remember their "not hungry" phases being this bad.

I think it is normal, but I would also suggest limiting their fluids. Perhaps they are getting filled up on that and just don't have much of an appetite?

PS - I think they just had a little growth spurt, if that has anything to do with it?

Is it both of them? And you offer all different foods? Are they fine in all other ways? I wouldn;t worry (yeah, right!! I always worry!) and jsut keep offering a well balanced diet.

Yep, both of them! And I try to offer a variety. I think the reason I'm worrying more than usual was at their last WIC appt the other week, they told me they're growth percentile had dropped a bit.....they said not enough to worry, but you know how that is! Like I'm not going to worry? :)

Do you sit and eat at the same time as them? One thing that works when I KNOW they are hungry, but they are just WAY into to playing to want to sit in thier chairs for more than 5 mins is to make something like grilled cheese and let them walk around with it. Iknow, I know, I am such a bad mom  But I am the one who has to feed them everyday, so I am the one gets to decide :winking0009:

Sometimes they flat don't eat. It gets easier to just let it go. We get into the "full tummy" mode to get them sleeping through the night etc. and can't turn that off when they are toddlers.

I have been guilty of letting them play and come take a bit or carry food around too! :D
