nosebleeds

I think I have only had like 2 nosebleeds in my entire life, well until now. I've had like 3 in the past week. Are nosebleeds normal or should I be worried? Its never been like a gushing nosebleed just bled for a little bit. It usually feels like I have water up my nose and then when I touch it the blood comes out. Anybody have a similar experience??

 

I hear nosebleeds are common. I have the same problem, except mine are only when I blow my nose, etc...It's not like a full flowing nosebleed, KWIM? But in any case-I hear it is common in pregnancy, especially in the 2nd trimester due to the increased blood flow. Hope that helps some!

 

Ditto pp, I get nosebleeds on a regular basis. Plus I'm congested all the time and constantly blowing. My gums also bleed when I brush my teeth. It's normal and a result of increased blood volume.

 

I agree with the other 2 ladies. The nosebleeds are normal during pregnancy due to the blood flow. I started to experience them towards the end of my 2nd Trimester and my OB told me not to worry about it and how they're normal. Just hang in there.

 

I've had nosebleeds with this pregnancy since maybe about 24 weeks, for some reason its always on the same side of my nose. Its not heavy, just bleeding inside.......goes away after a couple of blows. I heard its common in pregnancy.

I don't have actual nosebleeds but every time I blow my nose there is blood in it. It is common due to increased blood flow and blood volume. I wouldn't worry but just mention it next time you are at the doctor.
