dd sleeps alot! always has, but now shes been sttn for about a week and still sleeping alot. she falls to sleep around 7 and wakes at 6, takes a bottle, and sleeps til 8 or 9. she naps 3x a day for 1-2 hours too. shes healthy and eats well so i dont think its enemia, is it just her personality and her body just needs more sleep? ds on the other hand is the complete opposite and takes crappy naps and is up every 3-4 hours..is that HIS personality/sleep needs? didnt realize motherhood was full of so many questions! :) good thing i have you guys!

It sounds as if it is just her personality. My twins were horrible sleepers, but that may have been because there were two of them. Evan is my sleeper. He slept great from the get go... I never had any issues with him sleeping. He sleeps from about 7:30 - 8:30 only getting up once a night still at 6 months. Enjoy!

Enjoy it!! I'd also say it is her personality. One of my best friends slept about 18 hours/day until she was 10 months old! Her mom always worried about it - but she's perfectly fine - and she was a very well-rested baby! :)

I also think it's probably just her personality - enjoy it!

Sounds good to me too! I have one that definitely needs more sleep too. At 8 months she was STTN (8pm-6am and then taking 3 naps a day between 1-2hours each).

My kids have always been heavy sleepers too. Even now at 9mo (7.5 adj), they sleep 11-12 hours at night + two 2-2.5 hour naps/day--but they're really active when they're awake, so I think it's OK.

Sounds exactly the same as my DS & DD. My DD is a real sleepy head whereas DS is not! At night, DS will go 12 hours without a feed but he is a very restless sleeper. DD will go 12-13 hours without a feed and hardly moves!

I think it´s a personality trait. My DS is restless and nervous while DD is more laid- back. She is very sensitive though and once she starts crying that´s it! DS is easier to calm. My DS takes crappy naps too. We´re in the same boat! ;)
