normal or odd?

    :th_holidayhug: my girls have always loved replaying certain scenes from movies with each other (ex. Tinkerbell and Terrence getting into an argument in one of the tinkerbell movies)... lately, however, Marina's been just randomly reciting lines from movies, tv shows, commercials, etc... while playing. today at lunch we were eating (no cheese anywhere on the table), and she just started reciting the baby bell commercial to herself :mellow: yesterday, she was playing with this shape shuffle thing, and recited the ENTIRE dialogue in an ENTIRE scene from a tinkerbell movie. it happens so often now, and it's so random :spy:
    is this normal or odd to you?


    ETA: i should add that they both will act out commercials if they're eating something/using something from that commercial. like eating those Cuties oranges, etc... which is just funny to me, but marina's constant reciting is a little weird to me...

    p.s. they don't watch much tv, fwiw

    They are at the age of mimicing so this is TOTALLY normal!!! I think it is actually very good that they are doing that! (developmentally that is) Sounds really cute!

    On any given day, my boys will say out of the blue "Stay Out of my Butt!" That is in the closing credits of Toy Story 3.

    So yes, your girls sound normal to me.

    She's a star in the making! I think your future actress is adorable too. My girls will sometimes quote or ask about a book/tv show out of the blue. Not as much as your DD, but they have all done it from time to time. I think it's totally normal. Now, just make sure she isn't watching anything you don't want her to act out in front of someone elsel! :lol:

    My girls do this. They will act out scenes from their favorite shows or recite lines from things they have seen. They also make up their own songs about whatever they are doing or eating, lol.

    My two do this too. In addition to reciting the lines, they will also act out their own version of the show. Right now the Octonauts is a big hit in the house, so I can be counted on having to be Peso while the kids are Dashi and Kwazii.

    I have videos of my twins acting out scenes from Star Wars while watching it. I plan to show them to their prom dates. :lol:
