My twins JUST started sleeping through the night (they've done it twice this week) I was so happy. (well, they woke up once at midnight but I don't really count that because it was a quick bottle and right back to bed)
Now they both have colds. I got TWO good nights and now we're back to square one: up every hour, crying because of the stuffiness, it's like the first night home all over again [IMG]
AND I'm sick too [IMG] AND so is DH!!
I just wish there was something I could do for them, they're SO stuffy and miserable and the ped said it could take a week or two to run it's course. I feel like I'll be dead by then.

DH brought it home from the office. The best part is that he works at home and only goes in maybe once per month. Of course the ONE day he's there some butthead has to come to work sick and infect everyone. Man I hate that [IMG] At my office management would tell you to go home if you were sick, but not a DH's company. They don't care if you have the flu, they'd never tell you to get out. I think it's inconsiderate.

We had two or three good nights and then the girls got sick as well. The past 2 days have been ****. Not sure where the girls got it though.

I know how you feel. We've all gotten sick several times so far this winter. It seems like we have one good week, then one bad one. Unfortuately, I don't think there's any way to prevent them from getting sick, unless you live in a bubble, and you can't do that.

Have you tried a humidifer? We run it at night and it really helps them. When the stuffiness is really bad, we have them sleep with their heads elevated in the swing or in the cosleeper in our room that has a wedge under the mattress. You can also suck out the mucous with a nasal aspirator. Tylenol helps too. I like more because it tastes good than the actual medicine but hey whatever makes them feel better!

Congrats on sleeping through the night! Being sick puts you back a few days, but they'll get it!

We are right there with you. The babies finally started to sleep better for about a week. I was in heaven. Then, the cold virus strikes and we're up most of the night again. As soon as they are feeling better, they will be back in their cribs and crying it out if necessary. This cold is seeming to take forever, though. I hope you are all sleeping better soon.

Yep, DH brings home colds all the time, it's really starting to make me mad. What kills me is that he washes his hands, etc etc, but he still gives us a cold every week. [IMG]

I know how you feel [IMG] Especially when they're that small too. My babies got their first cold when they were only a month old.....I was sooo mad because it was Christmas and my wonderful SIL came to my house sick [IMG] I hope they get well quickly! [IMG]

Yeah, we've got the humidifier cranking, the aspirator and saline is helping. I think I might try letting them sleep in the swings or bouncie seats tonight.
I think if I wasn't feeling so bad myself I'd be able to deal better. Poor DH is even sicker, he has strep and pneumonia [IMG] luckily the barrage of meds they gave him is helping. Lucky thing is that the ped said babies this age don't usually get strep so I'm glad for that. Now I just need to keep from getting it.

That sucks! I hope you all get better. If its any consolation, we went away on vacation and 3 days into it Kaeden got sick, than Brooklyn a day later. Kaeden was up most nights and all he did was cry and whine etc. Then when we all returned home, babies were sick, DH got sick and 3 days later I was sick.
Brooklyn was sick for about a week and a half and Kaeden was sick for 3 1/2 weeks (6 doctor visits, 3 different prescriptions etc etc)

He finally was back to his old self last week (He got sick on Dec 1st) after he was 'better' (still had a bit of a cough) he was still wiped out all the time. The cough is finally gone etc.

    Good luck!
