    Anyone have this same situation?

    I know I'm comparing, but I can't help it!!

My girls are about the same age and Jordyn has 2 teeth and Kalia has just 1. I wouldn't worry about it!! I'm worried about when they decide to get 6 teeth all at once........AHHHH!!

My older dd didn't get her first tooth until she was 9 months 1 wk, and then her second tooth the following week. It's not a worriesome thing, it's actually better long term because the later they get their teeth the later they usually get their adult teeth and the later they will "potentially" need dentures! At least that's what our dentist told us! :D

Riley got her first tooth around 10 months & Danika just got her first tooth. i don't think it's anything to worry about.

DS only has two and DD has none so far! I'm not worried though as I haven't ever seen any toothless kindergarteners walking around yet :D

Nate got his first 2 a few weeks ago, but Jack just cut his first 2 last week. My nanny (who used to be a dental hygienist) swears that the later they come in, the less problems they have with their teeth. Not sure if that's true, but that's what she says!

Right there with ya - one has 5 - started around 4 months the other has none! Ped said the latest he has seen teeth come in is 13 months.

Just wondering what kind of problems babies can have if they have teeth early(My guys have 8 each , first ones came out at 6 month)
I will do research since few of you said the same thing.

No need to worry!! My dd didn't get her first tooth until she was 13.5 Months old!!! Her brother had 7. She now has 4 and Jake has 10. Our dentist said it's not a problem. The reason I've heard that it's better they come in late is because of all the milk that sits on their teeth. They usually still need a night bottle and such.

I really don't know if there are more problems with early teeth; I'd never heard of it until I was complaining to my nanny about the boys' lack of teeth. It could be what the PP said about milk and less wear and tear on their teeth, but since baby teeth stay in for several years, I find it hard to believe that a few months make a huge difference either way!

Let us know if you find anything in your research. I'm curious!

Both my boys are sporting toothless grins! They drool like its going out of style and chew on everything (we actually caught Connor gumming the coffee table), but no swollen gums, no bumps, and certainly no teeth!
