    Our boys will be nine weeks tomorrow and still have not smiled. Is this normal...does adjustedd age matter with this developmental milestone?

    any thoughts??
    thanks!

    I'm sure adjusted age is a factor in when they can smile. Don't worry, I'm sure you'll see some big smiles soon! {sending big smile vibes your way :D :D :D }

    Mine didn't "really" smile until closer to 3.5-4 months old. Now they don't stop! I think it's still early for your boys and they are right on track. :D

    Yes, adjusted age plays a huge part in the early developmental milestones. Mine didnt smile closer to 8-12 weeks. Hang in there. They will!!!

    Mines smiled around three to four months. Every baby is different though.

    Mine will be 12 weeks on Saturday and have probably only started smiling in the last week or week and a half. Even then, we can coax maybe a smile a day. They were born at 35.5 weeks and my doctor said not to worry about it, that it would come in time. Still, it's hard to wait!

    man, waiting for those first smiles is so tough!! my girls started smiling around 3 months as well - they were born at 34w1d. for me, those first smiles were a big turning point - i really started to feel like i was bonding after that as before hand it just seemed like it was all work & no play. once the smiles came the interaction & play time just continued to grow & grow. it was awesome! sending lots of smile vibes your way.

    my guys split the difference and started smiling about halfway between their actual age and their adjusted age. i wouldn't worry until they pass their adjusted age, though. your pediatrician won't consider it delayed until then anyway.

    Since we're a day apart in adjusted ages :) I thought I'd chime in. We've gotten a few little smiles here and there. Very random like they are still learning how to do it. I keep telling myself soon :)

    I would think adjusted age has something to do with it. Don't worry those sweet baby smiles will be coming your way soon!
