No More Swaddles Aah!

We just put the boys to bed swaddle free for the first time. I'm scared. Wish us Luck!

good luck! stick to it, it's worth it. if you find their hands are too busy, try putting a sock over each hand. worked for us!

I think I'll start weaning from swaddles at naptimes, and start with one arm out, then both arms out, and see how it goes. I like the sock suggestion! Might have to try that.

 

Awww! Did you go cold turkey?? I miss our swaddles! They were the best! We had to slowly wean dd from hers. Ds went cold turkey just fine. I hope it works out for all of you! Goodluck!

 

We had to wean ours on DD1 because she REFUSED to go to bed without it. DD2 did fine cold turkey. They were 9 months! I thought they'd swaddle forever. LOL

The boys did pretty good swaddles free and Trent liked chewing on his sleep sac. Wasn't bad, they woke up a couple times. We did go cold turkey, but the boys have been sleeping with their arms out for quite some time because they broke out of the swaddle. Round two is tonight, but I think it will be fine

We just now broke free of the swaddles after using them for 8 months.

 

hoping it went well for you tonight. i tried to have the girls go swaddle-free tonight but they just wouldn't fall asleep without being all cuddly. i was seriously in there room every five minutes...grrrrr!

Thanks. Second night started out a little rough but not terrible. They spent 45 minutes chewing and playing with their sleep sacs until they finally fell asleep. We will see what the rest of the night hold lol.
