    Hi,
Last week my DS decided to have a BM in the bathtub. It scared the daylights out of him when he saw it floating there he screamed and wanted out in a hurry. His sister then started to scream and wanted out as well. We have tried them in a different tub with no success (me in the tub,or my wife in the tub). Any suggestions as to how to get these two back in the tub?? Thanks,
    Mike

    How old are they?

I would try some distraction - a new tub toy, tub tints (colors the water) or the great & wonderful bubbles (use a little tear free shampoo) - what child doesn't love bubbles.

Hopefully it will get themm past it [IMG]

    Good luck!

We went threw a "we hate the bath" phase. It lasted a couple of weeks- bath time was very quick-sometimes we never filled the tub, just rinsed off.

I would keep encouraging it. I like the idea of a new bath toy.

Jade pretty much didn't want to take a bath from Thanksgiving to Christmas this year. We sponged her and sometimes dipped her in, and eventually she got over it. Now she loves it again!

Hi Mike, my twins went through a phase where they would scream if we tried to get them in the tub. We just gave up and would give them a shower instead. I'd have my DH get in and I would hand one in to him and he would suds him/her up and rinse them of then he'd hand me the clean child and take the next one. It was sooo much faster for us and they felt safe in there because dad was holding them. A few months ago they saw a cousin taking a bath and decided they wanted to bathe again. They had obviously forgotten whatever it was they were scared of. Good Luck!

We went through the "no bath" stage as well. After vacation last year, my dd got terrified of bath tubs for some reason. It lasted a couple of weeks. We didn't make a big deal about it, would just do a quick washoff in the tub and get her right out. Now, she's back to loving baths again.

My two just love to shower!!! They still take baths, but if they complain or ask, I just give them a shower. We have a shower stall in our ensuite and they go in there together and I sit on the outside and wash their hair and body then they go back under the water...they love it....I suggest just giving them a shower until the phase passes...
