No hunger cues?

My almost 11wk old twins havent really been showing the standard early hunger cues for a few weeks now. It seems my DD starts becoming fussy around the 2 to 2.5 hr mark since the last feeding, so i feed them and they nurse for the normal time length.

Does anyone else have this - no hunger cues except fussiness and if so you just go by the clock ie been long enough since last feeding?

My girls were like this. They started getting fussy around 2.5 hours so I'd feed them immediately. Right around 3-4 months old I started waiting a bit longer and we could make it to 3 hours without extreme fussiness or crying. If you're feeing your kids every 2 hours and are OK with it, I say keep it up. If you would like a bit more time between meals, you could attempt stretching it out another 15 or 30 minutes. What you might find, though, is that you suddenly have all of those hunger signs that people talk about!

Sounds like fussing is *your* baby's hunger cue. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. ;)

Once they get older their cues evolve. Most babies at this age just get fussy when they are hungry. You may be able to get them interested in a toy or activity to stretch them out to 3 hours as they get bigger
