no heart beat

    I posted last week about a 6week us and no heart beat. Still no heart beat today (7 weeks) they call it a 'blighted ovum' so i am going in for a D&C tomorrow. Thank you for your support!

    I'm so sorry! :hug: How are you feeling? I had a blighted ovum in April of 2008 and I became very depressed after. I had to see a therapist to help me cope with the loss. Which helped! It was very nice to be able to talk about how I was feeling. It also made it easier to ttc again!

    I'm so sorry Kellie! I had the same thing happen between my twins and this pregnancy. I had an US at 7 weeks b/c of vaginal bleeding and the baby measured as a 5 week baby with no heartbeat. I was positive of the date of my last period so they scheduled me for D&C the following week and I ended up passing the little one on my own over the weekend. It was nice not to have to have the D&C but I have heard from others who have had them that the hardest part is the emotions ... so I hope the D&C is over fast for you and you can begin to heal. I was pregnant again the first time we tried and I don't think I REALLY got past the mc until then, but I felt a LOT better after a few weeks and especially when you start your period again and can start trying again. Again, I'm so sorry that you are going through this ... my heart bleeds for you.

    thank you so much for that Traci. It really means a lot. I think you are right that when my period comes back it will get a bit better. The D&C was nice b/c I didn't have to 'witness' it. The hardest thing is that my body WANTED to be pg, the gestational sac kept measuring right on target. So weird. I am not as good as I would like to be emotionally but I am getting there.

    Thank you to all of you... it means a lot to have your support.
