The last few days my daughter has learned to stand in the crib. She will not take a nap because she stands and screams. If you are in the room with her she does not scream. I have tried to put her in the pack n play (she cant pull up in that) but she still screams. She used to be so good at napping and now she won't. I am about ready to go crazy 8P. Any suggestions for this pulling up/separation anxiety issue would be greatly appreciated. I am tired of crying a crying baby.

Do you have her crib mattress as low as it will go? Maybe that would help with the pulling up issue...

When mine first learned to stand in their crib, that was the fun new game. They eventually learned they had to get down and go to sleep. I had to do a little CIO during naps as well. I went through 2 weeks where I had to get both of them to sleep for each nap, and then decided I was not going to do this everyday. It doesn't take long, they learn fast. They just have to learn to get down from standing and go to sleep.

I agree, make sure the mattress is down all the way.

I am going to pull my hair out! I lowered the mattress so maybe (please god) that will help. I am not going to hold each of them every day because I have two other kids that need me also. She is stubborn she has been crying for an hour with no end in sight. :cray: Breathe--it's just a phase! :80: Thanks for letting me vent

So my husband has found the answer--for a moment anyway! He gave her one of his shirts last night and she cuddled up with it and went right to sleep. I snuck in and took the shirt out before we went to bed and she stayed asleep. I just tried it again for a nap and she is sound asleep. I think the smell makes her feel like someone is in there.
