Ok, the girls are 2 months old & I am probably rushing things (desire for sleep does that [IMG])...at some point did 1 twin sleep through the night before the other? How'd you figure it out, LOL? One always starts crying at 2/2:30am (not the same one every night) & I have been getting the other one up to feed at the same time. The "sleeping" one always gulps down her bottle too. So that probably means she'd be awake in a little while anyhow right?

Should I try to pacify the crying one (binky) until the sleeping one wakes to eat...maybe teaching the crying one to hold off longer?

Any tips/advice? Boy, throwing in an extra baby sure makes it a whole new ball game, LOL!

At that age, if they woke, I fed them, and I still woke the other if they were sleeping....to avoid waking an hour later! It wasn't until about 4 months, that I let the sleeping baby sleep, and suprise, she slept through!! Jake was another story! [IMG]

I agree with Becky, I was waking both at 2 months but by 3, one was always sleeping past the wake up so I stopped waking them both. Still getting up with Kevin even to this day though! Urgh!

We decided that at around 6 weeks we were going to let them by their own schedule, since we were always waking my twin girl up. She started to sleep longer right away and only waking up once. At 2 months my twin boy (who has reflux) started to wake her up b/c he was loud during / after a feeding, so we seperated them ... my twin girl went to her own room (next to my oldest's room) and slept 9 hours straight right away. They're still seperated. My girl will sleep 6 to 6 (occassionally 6 to 5) and my twin boy wakes between 3 - 5 am, just once.

At that age if they woke up I fed them. If one woke up I woke the other up also to eat. They gradually started doing longer stretches around 5.5 months. I remember thinking that DH and I slept through them crying because they went 5 hours one night instead of 3.5, I was freaking out a bit until I realized there was no way we could both sleep through them crying. Then a few nights later it went to 6 hours. I definitely think it's a maturity thing. Usually my DS would wake first. One night he then went from 8-5am. I always had to wake my DD. I didn't start not waking them until I knew they could sleep through and they had done it for a few days, then I knew they didn't need a bottle. Then they started going from 7:30-7:30 around 6 months and then I knew they didn't need anymore middle of the night feedings, that was a happy time. [IMG] It will happen.

At that age I always fed them. They need all the calories then...Not until 4 month can they sleep 8 hours straight (of course there are expections). Mine still sometimes need middle of the night feedings. You will soon learn to tell what is a hunger cry vs all the others.

Oh, another thing...when my DD started to only take a couple of ounces in the middle of the night, I knew she just wanted some attention...at 3 am!!! ahhhh I then stopped the feeds and just replaced her paci, checked diaper, etc.

My DS sometimes still gulps his whole bottle in the middle of the night, so sometimes he really needs it.

Mine are completely different people and I always have to remind myself to treat them that way. I want them to have to the same needs and schedules all the time, but that is unfair to them.

[IMG] to you regarding no sleep - we all can relate to that!! When I get 3 hours in a row - I am a new person.

At two months, when one woke, we woke the other. We fed our boys during the night up until 5 months. Around 4 months, we fed them as they woke separately. We noticed one would go for longer stretches so we did not want to disturb that. We just knew at 2 months, our boys woke so often so it was worth waking the sleeping baby up
