Nicknames

I was thinking about the many nicknames I have for my guys and I was wondering what you gals call your babies?

James - Middle brother, hunky monkey or monkey man
Sean - Little brother, chunky monkey or snuggle bunny

On a side note - people always laugh when I call them middle brother and little brother 'cause they rhyme. People are so easily amused.

 

Jacob .....sweet pea
Noah.....sweet potato

 

I was just thinking about this the other day. MGMA had nicknames for the other grandchildren, but so far other than my sister calling them Hannah banana and Jenna benna(which drives me crazy and she won't stop) we don't have any. We need to work on it!

 

Let's see I call both girls dumplin', goose and doodle bugs. But I call Katie Katydid, and Carli gets the name of Duckey. She chatters and sounds like a Duck most of the time.

 

Geneva: Pumpkin or Pumpkin Butt, Little Miss Thing (she has an attitude like none other and she's only 3 1/2 months!!), and Missy Mae (her middle name is Mae)
Gretchyn: Princess, Doll face(my dad used to call my sister and me that), Girlie Face, and Chica

 

Gage- Buddy, Tubby Bubba, Bud Bud, Little Man & when he growls, Little Monster
Keira- Birdy, Birdy Girl, Bird Bird, Sweet Pea & when she's got an attitude, Miss Thing

 

Haylee - Twinkly eye (she has beautiful shining eyes)
Hope- Hopey , Pumpkin, cutie pie

 

Jack: Jackie Wacky
Isabella: Bellee Wellee

Emilie-Em (this is what I call her most of the time), Emmy
Trevor-Bud, Trevor Bevor (I don't know why I call him that, but I always do).

 

Jackie -- Jack Jack (like on the incredibles)
Zachary -- Zachimo

 

Seamus- Shamers, Shamy Wamy (long a sound; dont even know how I would spell that one!0

Nicholas- Nicholas Pickolas, Niko

None of the above are said in public and I also dont want them to stick!

Both are called pumkin, sweet pea

If they are crabby I say crabby wabby or crabby pants

 

Camden - Cam, Mr Magoo and Mister
Ciara - CC and Meow Meow

 

Anna is Banana and princess and cutie patootie (cause she has some smelly toots)

Luke is Buddy or big man

 

These are some cute nicknames!

Anthony is Antonio Banderas, Big man, Bratco {slang for brother in Serbian}, Finu {good looking in Romanian}
Angelina is Angelina Ballerina, Diva, JLO {cuz of her bootie! :lol: }, Sora {sister in Romanian}, cutie patootie

There are probably more, but these are the most used! Anthony actually responds to Antonio...that's how much I call him that! :blush:

 

Jordan is Jordy Pordy, Peanut (not so much anymore since she is 19 & 1/2 lbs and is bigger than her sister), Chicky, Chubby Chubbies.

Mackenzie is Kenzie Wenzi, Pumpkin, Pork Chop, Chubby Chubbies.

Their dad and brother come up with most of them. Oh yeah, since Dillon can't really tell them apart yet, it's usually "this one" and "that one".

Josh...peanut, joshy washy, bubba doodles, sweet boy

Hannah...hannah banana, punky, sissy

Justin....bug, bud

I call both of them Bubba or Bubba Jones!

 

Olivia : Livie or Livie Lou (for Olivia Louise)
Evan: Ev or Chunky Monkey or Bubba

 

DH's family does not call anyone nicknames and everyone is refered to by their full name. They refer to Ben as Benjamin and it takes awhile to know who they are talking about. My family, all you are ever called is your nickname.

Hyrum- Hy, buddy, and even still baby,
Benjamin-Ben (obviously since that is what I refer to him as), Benny, Benny Boo, Mr. Ben
Emily- Emmy, Em, princess, sister,

I think I refer all of them as sweetie and sweetheart at some time or another.

 

Lauren - lolo, lolo lungs (cried very loud as a baby), froggy, monkey (is so wild and kicks her legs like crazzzy)
Emma - emmers, emem, tank (the bigger baby)

babies, chickies, sweetie, punkin...................

My mother calls them Lola and Emmalou (her middle name is Jane!).

Simon: Froggy; Sapo (frog in spanish); papucho; papi; baby boy

Mary: Actress; smiley girl; mamita; chunky girl.

Safia: Honey Bunny (until she named her rabbit this); big girl, baby girl; sweetheart; darling.

This is off topic, but when I tell people that I named my son Simon, they often ask if I named him after American Idol's Simon Cowell, which is not the case and would be weird, I think. Only my best friend from high school came over and said, "Let me guess, Simon LeBon?" Made me feel SOOOOO old. lol.

I started out calling them my little doodle bug, but somehow it has become doo-doo bug which I find cuter for some reason.

My guesses are from 7th Heaven, you know 2 of the brothers and sisters are Simon and Mary!

 

Before they were born we called them Peanut Butter and Jelly.

Now

Nicholas-Nicholas Pickle-es, Nickle, Nickle the Pickle...or sometimes just Pickle

Andrew-Monkey, Monk, Monkey Man...or, when he's BF...my piggy lil Monkey

 

I mostly call both of them peanut, but also pea, sweet pea, and monkey (the way they grab onto me now when I hold them on my hip makes me think of little spider monkeys). Sometimes I call Keira Keira Kay, and Maisy is Maisy Faye (family name).

 

Mason- brother bear or seeme (my sisters 2yr. old can't say mason yet but call him seeme so it stuck and now even me and DH call him that, of course he calls me Aunt Weeties and no one know why, go figure)
Abigail- sister bear, abba do or abba dabba do, baby girl

 

Patrick = the baby, the little little brother, Pac Man, Packy, Pattycakes, Pumkin

Kevin= goofy, the little big brother, Kev Meister, the Kev Man, Kevvy, Sweet Pea

John= Johnny, Jack, (and this was his name when he was little and its awful) Tiny Booger

 

Auburn = Midget, Frogger (she sits like a frog)
Nicole = Midget, Quacky Duck (she sounds like the aflak duck sometimes)

When they're being fussy, we'll refer to either of them as "Miss Cranky Pants."

 

Stephen- Peanut, Seedin (that is how he says his name :laughing: ), pinchy love, ishy bishy

Madison- Started out with Sweet Pea, now madi-chins, chins, chin-na, pintess (thats how ds says princess)

Brooke- Bookie, Brookie, Booka, chubsy ubsey

Maggie Moo & Sophie Sue LOL!
Baby, sweetie pie, sweet potatoe pie, sweetie, sweetheart, etc.

 

Max- Maxie Pooh (he hates it when I call him this), Big Bubba, Maxwell Taylor Fugette (that's his full name but it seems like I've had to use it a lot lately, lol)

Hannah- Hannah Banana (she got that nickname from a NICU nurse and it stuck), Cutie with a Bootie (I swear she sticks her little butt out all the time), Sissy, Princess, Little Bit, Peanut

Jackson- Jack Jack (just like Jamie we got it from the Incredibles), Chunky Monkey, Pooh Pooh (don't know how this one got started, lol), Little Bubba, Chubba Bubba, Jackson Wackson

 

Aidan- Sasquatch (meant only in love, he's 6lb heavier than Ava)
Ava-Peanut
Matthew- Matt Man
Mia- Momma Mia

 

I call Matilda Tilda, Tildabelle, Piggleton, Piggie Poo, Missy Pissy and Little Miss, and Oscar is usually just Oscar, though he also is sometimes called Ozzie, Ozman, or Ozzie Poo. There are nicknames I call them both interchangeably, such as Rusty Rumpus, Sweetness, Lovey, and Bubsie.
