Nick and Jack are here!

My two little darlings have finally arrived!

John Nicholas and Jack Schaefer were born 3/8/07 at 7:38 pm and 9:18pm respectively. Nick was 6 lb 7 oz and 19 1/2 inches long, while his brother Jack was 7 lb 4 oz and 20 1/2 inches long.

I went into my regularly scheduled MFM appt at 37+5 and my BP was slightly elevated and I had dilated to 5 cm. So my doc said, lets induce you today. I had both boys vaginally, just like I had hoped for. Jack presented face up with his arm coming down at the same time, so it was a lot of work and a lot of pain delivering him. But ALL worth it.

No NICU or nursery time required for the boys, they are very healthy and we are all very happy to be home and settling into our routine!

I have been awaiting your post as it seemed evident you would be the next to go! Furthermore, I was just thinking about you this morning as I noticed you had not posted and found myself smiling as I thought you must have had some excitement recently!

It sounds like everyone is doing wonderfully and I am so happy for you and your family!

That is wonderful news!!! Congratulations!!! You certainly had a roller coaster of a pregnancy, and it is so exciting to see how long you were able to carry those boys! Who would have guessed?!!! INDUCED!!! Enjoy this special time as you bond with your newest blessings!

 

Congratulations!! It sounds like you had a great birthing experience (despite Jack being face up), and your boys have great weights too!! Way to go, Mommy! Hope you all have an 'easy' adjustment time...well, as smooth as it can be anyway.
