DH and I took the babies out for a walk this afternoon. We passed by a woman with two 10 yr old boys. She gave us a big smile and said, "These guys are twins!" We talked just a little bit. As we kept walking on, she called out, "It gets easier!"

LOL! Mine are 3 now and I always tell parents of twin newborns when I see them that same thing! Their eyes light up!

I seem to find the opposite people who say it's worse when they are 3! LOL I say it is getting easier! Glad you 'met' her!

That's great when someone says good things! I have met a few that keep telling me it gets easier, whether or not it does, I like the nice comments! :)

That's nice! I've gotten that same comment from other twin mommies myself. It's good to hear, isn't it!

I find myself saying that already to new mommies with twins... yes I have seen quite a few already in the past 3 months or so!

I love hearing that too! I had a woman come up and say "I remember that time well. Don't worry - it will get easier." Then her husband got excited and said "You know, after this you have to have another one because you won't believe what a breeze one baby is!"

All of the twin parents that I've come across have said something along these lines, which is very encouraging. Ours are 4 months and there are a lot of times I get frustrated - it's great to hear that it will get better one day (I hope!).

Whenever I see someone with older twins (mine are 4.5months) I always exclaim "you made it out alive...!!!" and they always say it gets easier and they look at my babies with that look in their eyes that lets you know that they understand how very special twins are...at every age!

that makes me feel better!! I ran into a mom of 6yr old twin girls who yelled out "bless your heart- it'll
get worse before it gets better - then it'll get worse again!!"

it is so nice to hear positive comments! :D

I said something very similar to a woman who came over to look at my girls and said, "Mine are 22" and I said, "So you do live to talk about it?" She laughed and said that it's so true when people say that it just flies by.

One day, when my girls were about 2 months, a woman and I started talking in Target when I was on a "getaway run". I told her I had twins and she told me she had 5 year old twins too. When she asked how old mine were and I told her, she went, "ohhhhhhh.....you're in the thick of it. Hang in there because, yes, it does get so much better." And sure enough, it did!
