I'd registered on the forum a while back to ask a question but I haven't done much posting.

A week and 1/2 ago I went into the Peri and my cervix was only 1.6cm. His instructions were to go home and lay down. So I did. I called my ob the next day to clarify exactly what they the peri meant. So, I've been on strict bedrest since 30 and 3 days. Today I am 32 weeks. I dreead thinking that I could be doing this for 4 more weeks. But I really dread that I won't.

My hips hurt, my shoulders hurt, my neck hurts, and getting out of bed is an adventure.

My kids, two girls 7 and 3, just don't get that mommy can't hop up and get them whatever it is they want at the moment.

On the days I've been allowed out of bed to go to OB appt and NST appts, it's almost liberating. Except for when the NST takes 3 hours. The last time they ended up ordering a sonogram.

Is it bad that I wish I had a catheter so I wouldn't have to roll/heave myself out of bed to go pee every 5 minutes because one of the babies thought I needed a swift kick to the bladder?

I hope so. I'm laying here on my left side, hips on a pillow, with my knees pinned together.

I'm so glad my husband got me this laptop.

:hug99: Ugh. I remember those feelings well. And three hour NST's! WOW! I bitterly complained about my two hour ones. Bless your heart. Hang in there.

You can do it!! I've already been on bedrest for almost 7 weeks and I'm only 27 weeks!! I, too, told my hubby I wanted a catheter or Depends so I didn't have to get up every 1/2 hour (which I know is gonna get much worse!) The laptop, DVR and friends and family visiting has been a lifesaver!! Good luck and keep those babies cookin! ;)

I'm glad I'm not in the hospital... That would be really hard. :icon_eek:

On the bright side, my NST only took 1 1/2 hours today and I slept through most of it.

Oh my gosh, your lucky your home!!!! I've been in the hospital since 23 1/2 weeks- now almost 27. I miss being home around my family so much! But your further along than I am. I know what you mean about your body aching. My
back really hurts sometimes. And you DO NOT want a catheter in you!!! I had one in the first day I was here
and hated it!!!!!! I have a 2yr old and I know she doesn't understand either. I keep trying to explain to her
whats going on. I see her pretty much every day, but it's so hard not being home :(. I miss my dog too.
Anyway, I'm here in the hospital and dealing with it. I just want to hit the fast forward button and my baby girls
be healthy and home with us.

Hang in there! You don't want to go to the hospital like me.... I'm not sure how much longer I'll be here for.
I have funneling going on. Over all cervix is 3.8,but funneling in the middle of the cervix is 0.6.

I AM lucky to be home. Being at the hospital would be so hard it so many ways. I'm a SAHM so literally the longest I've been away from my oldest child. 7. was the 3 days I was in the hospital giving after having my youngest. 3. She actually became sick while I was in the hospital so my husband couldn't bring here to visit. The longest I've been away from the 3 yo was for 2 days when I took my eldest camping with Girl Scouts.

My next visit to the Peri is on Wed, hopefully everything will look good. At this point, I'm glad I have good ins. Monday's are my OB visits and Thursday's are my NST's. The Peri and NST's are both at the local hospital which thankfully has free valet parking. They have Maternity parking but it seems like just anyone will park there, ie people just going in to visit.

I've actually had a catheter before and it's in those moments where I've just laid down after going to the bathroom and one of the babies gives me a swift kick to the bladder and I have to "quickly" get up before I need to change my clothes that it sounds like a good a idea. :D

be grateful you are at home - another hospital bedrester here.....not any fun. this is day 19 and I have at least another month to go. I wish I could be at home with my kids with them at least jumping on my bed to say hi! Look on the bright side - you are over 33 weeks - if they delivered you the babies would be fine. Do you have an idea of how big they are?

My last US almost 3 weeks ago. The boy was 3 lbs 9 oz and the girl 3 lbs 4 oz. They were measuring 2 weeks older than my EDD. The peri was impressed. He asked me if I just made big babies. My 2 girls were barely an ounce away from 9lbs with the eldest being born on her due date and the youngest at 38 1/2 weeks. So, I'm hoping that kind of growth has continued. I'm still hoping to make it to 37 weeks and still hoping to avoid a hospital stay. I'm worried that if I go in and my cervix has continued to shorten that I will end up in the hospital.

At least my mom will be here by next Sunday. We could really use the help. My house is a serious disaster.
