Newest Update

So although I am technically 23 weeks 5 days, the Peri today told me that he feels I am at the point of viability.... :woohoo:
But with that, bring a whole mess of issues and monitoring.

The GREAT news is that my boy has grown again!!!! :banana: Now there is a trend - he is consistenetly 2 weeks behind my girl but that has stayed the same now for a series of weeks so the Peri feels that he has a good idea of what is happening. My girl is now 1Lb 6oz and in the 41st percentile and my boy is 14oz and in the 13th percentile. So there is an 8oz difference which is significant, but has been consistent.

So now the doc says I get to rest.....time to take it easy and let these little ones grow. I have told my employer and have not yet received any response. I did promise to get things in order and make sure that they had anything they may need by next week so that way I feel a bit better.

I start NST/BPP's 2 times per week and dopplers every week as well - all on top of the progesterone shots and terbutaline. The Peri feels very much like my OB though that at some point this bloodflow can become an issue, all are just hoping that happens later in gestation to give them more time to grow. He actually said although not ideal, 28 weeks is a good goal and then we go from there...

So I feel positive/happy/scared and worried - a bit overwhelmed too - but I am thrilled that there has been growth and viability is here...

My employer is not taking it so well - but I'm working on that piece...hopefully they will understand at some point and if they don't then maybe I have to move on at some point. It's hard but I'm doing my best....

I too was just checking in to see if there was an update from you...ever since the day you were told you would lose your baby boy you have been in my thoughts and prayers! It seems as though all these prayers coming your way from TS has been working!!! Your baby boy IS growing! We all knew he could do it!
Your update is wonderful news all the way around-I am sorry your employer is being less then supportive but there are lives at stake here and they have to think about that!
The very best thing you can do to keep those babies cooking as long as possible is REST REST REST-lay on your side and drink lots of water and protien shakes so they can put on as much weight as possible-they will be better off if they do come early!
I am so happy for you on all accounts here! You just made my day!

I've had a feeling all along that your little boy was an answer to prayers Joanna. Take it easy, and try not to worry about work, it will be there after these babies come.
