Sorry if there is a thread here about this already, too tired to check right now.

We have a bassinet (my mom bought it new back when I was pregnant with my 1st daughter, so it's pretty new still) from my son and we were going to use that for the babies. I was wondering if when I go to the local twin sale it would be worth it to look for another one, so the girls can have their own space to sleep in. My son slept in our room until he was 6 months old, in his bassinet until he was almost 4 months old. We don't want to co-sleep and we didn't with our son either.

Figured would ask now as the sale is in 2 weeks.

    Thanks in advance.

I slept both of my together they were only 4 lbs each until they got too big- I borrowed another bassinet. If I couldn't borrow one, I would have put them in their cribs in their room. We didn't co-bed either and my girls were in their own room by 3 months. I didn't want another expense of buying one and then of storing in a month later!

    Ooo, great question!

I'd like our twins to sleep together, especially at first, but I know that doesn't work out with every set of twins. I'm debating about whether to get the twin pack 'n play so that they'll have bassinets side by side. My SIL with twins said that her twins liked sleeping near each other, but as long as they could hear each other, they were okay. So maybe a second bassinet would be nice for you. I'd be interested in what other people have to say!

Once the twins are born, we are done having kids, so I would be selling the bassinets.

My mom bought our son's crib when he was about 3 months old, we had his crib in our room as I mentioned. Our son and the girls will be sharing a room. The girls crib will be in our room for a while just as our son's crib was and I know they can share the same crib for a while so this will work fine for us. Our son has a convertible crib and we may end up moving him to a bed with rails once the girls are ready for separate sleep locations.

My mom said she would buy another bassinet for us, but I figure if I can get one cheaper than what we already have, it will be good since we will most likely be using it as long as we did the other one, then she can just get a crib instead for us. I would ask to borrow my bff's but she is due in October on the 23rd and my girls will most likely arrive a week or so later, and she uses hers downstairs as she has 2 older boys that she will need to keep the baby safe from. We have a PNP with bassinet/diaper changer attachment already that our son used, but I wanted to keep that downstairs so I am not running up and down the stairs all the time. So don't want to get another one of them, as our living room is going to be running out of space with all my son's toys and then the swing and PNP.

We have 1 bassinet that we are hoping the babies can share for a bit and then we are either going to use the pack n play or borrow my cousin's co-sleeper-it is just like a mini pack n play. Otherwise we can always move them to the crib, but we are hoping to keep them together too. They share all their space now!

My two did share one bassinet, in the pack N play for a bit. However, I do have 2 now for traveling, so it may not be a bad idea to get one there for later.

My girls slept in the bassinet part of the pnp for 7 weeks and then we moved them into their own cribs. It was large enough for both of them. I would do it that way again.

We just moved a crib into our room. They both slept together in the crib and we kept stuff we needed in it too...like diapers, outfits, etc. for the middle of the night "pee through my outfit" adventures. Then when they were old enough to get the boot which was about 5 months for us, we just moved the crib back into their room. They shared a pack and play in the kitchen during the day.

We have their crib in our room and they will share until they start rolling over and then we will purchase the second crib and move them in to their own. Hope it works out that way at least.

My two did not fit in one bassinet adn our room was not big enough for two. Since there room was right next to ours I ended up just putting them in one crib and they slept side-by-side. They each went to their own crib around 3 months.

We bought 2 cribs put them in the same room and I was so against co-bedding just because I thought they would always need a snuggle buddy. But DH begged me to change my mind and so did the nurses so I gave in. But after 1 month my little guy wanted to sleep through the night and sissy wasn’t allowing that to happen. So we put them in separate cribs same room. And they sleep through the night. Yay!

We put our girls in the same crib from day 2 - in their own room - but they were pretty mobile after about 2 weeks and would move and kick each other in the head - so we put them in separate cribs at that point.
