We're planning on going in March for my niece's 1st birthday, at which point the girls will be 1 year adjusted (they were due 3/27, she was born 3/23). We're going to need to buy 4 seats, aren't we? Will we survive this trip? I'm excited but scared already! I'm an anal-retentive travel planner, so I will take any and all travel tips starting now. We just came back from a trip to LA. We flew Boston to LA (about 6 1/2 hours) direct. I also have one year old twins and found that it was fine with one additional seat and one in our lap. It wasn't a horrible experience, but it wasn't a great one either. [IMG]

    I'm sure you'll be fine.

Besty, we are going in January with (will be) 22 mo. olds. but from Colorado. A lot easier!!! I have a thread going in the 1-5 about this. I've gotten a few great suggestions. Here...

We took the kids to Hawaii (from NY) in August when they were 6 months old and it was great! It was hard work but we all made it! And we had a 2 year old too. [IMG] We brought slings and mei tais and wore the babies while going through the airport. I was nursing too so that made it easier (it calmed them down on the flights and they did great). I would buy 4 seats if you can swing it - holding a wiggly 1 year old for those long flights gets to be a lot. [IMG] Good luck- it's going to be a great trip!

I am laughing at you right now! [IMG] We took our son when he was 14 months to Hawaii. It was 24 hours of traveling time including lay-overs. I was exhausted - of course, DH slept on the plane and in the airport. It was a horrible, horrible traveling experience. Getting to Hawaii was fine and since we were up for 24 hours - everyone adjested to the time chande in one night. That was the hardest plane ride of my life - with twins I can't imagine. Also..I GOT PREGNANT WITH THE TWINS while in Hawaii - so be very carful - IT WAS A HUGE SURPISE. I wish you all the luck in the world! Oh...I would never do it again. We'll leave the kids at home on our next trip to Hawaii (hopefully)

OK, Valerie's trying to put a babymaking hex on me. No way!! This factory is closed!

Thanks for the link, Diane. You are definitely going to have to report back to me after your trip!

Gosh, I wish you all the luck- DH and I have been to Hawaii twice - just by ourselves and I remember how tired I was. I couldn't imagine doing it with twin babies. We live in Ohio- and it is a long day with all the traveling. Best of luck to you and your family!
