My Pastor just called to tell me that some members of my church just had twin girls today and they also have a 2y/o...so similar to us.

So should I call them, and when...how long do I wait. I do not know them at all, they go to the early service (or did, bet that changes).

Last Name Keller (Kellar?)...anyone here by that name?

I'm proud to say we are 8am church goers, both before and after the twins! Heehee, there are weeks though that I would love to breeze in at 11am!! Sometimes we do cheat and just take my 4 year old to Sunday school.

I would say call her. I still haven't really found a local twin mom in a similar situation as me. She would probably love to hear any ideas you have.

We hit the 7 am Mass (we are Catholics) but we take turns with our 4 year old so we don't have to take the twins out.

I would call them in a few weeks and offer some help or ask to call on them with a prepared dinner in hand. I think that would be really wonderful.

That's my last name---but it isn't us! Call them---it is always nice to know someone else out there understands!!!

So exciting! I would call them in a few days; give them some time to get over the first shock, then offer whatever support/info you are willing to.

Alternately, if you want to give them some space, you might ask your pastor if s/he's going to talk to them, and have your info passed along with a very clear welcome to call you.

I say call and introduce yourself. Tell her your pastor passed on her info and if she needs anything to call, and that you'll call again in a couple weeks to see how she is doing.

I would wait a week to give them time to get home and get settled, and then call and tell them you're here for support. I had a mentor from my MOM club and I really appreciated having someone available to call when we had questions.
