First off. Welcome ot TS. I hope you find this community of women as helpful and wonderful as I have.

As for your nursery. Maybe an animal theme, zoo maybe. Many of the zoo nursery sets are in pastels that work for both boys and girls.

I'm having b/g twins too and had the same dilemna. We decided to go with alphabet soup bedding from babies r' us. It's very vibrant with lots of color and it has various animals and letters for the animals. We painted the room a pretty yellow and placed a chairrail around the room. The border is at the ceiling. We placed a changing table in the bay window area and put a vibrant red cover on it. I bought baskets that match the striped valence and put them on the changing table shelves for convenience for things like a few onesies, lotion, socks, and hair brush, etc.The bottom basket has toys in it to entertain them while on the table. My dh is having a few pictures made of the elephant and the girraffe that will be rather large and another wall has wall hangings on it. I have my grandmas rocker that my mom is going to refinish to match the cribs and dresser. Anyway, I'm really into their nursery. It's fun

    Welcome!

We're doing cowboys/cowgirls...it's a vintage repro fabric, I'm making the bedding myself....I guess once they are here since I'm on bedrest. The walls are a pear green color and we'll probaby incorporate some gingham fabrics....

Noah's ark or a safari theme is nice as well for boy/girl twins. I have friends who have a set of boy/girl twins and they had a mural painted with a giraffe, palmtree, birds, butterflies etc. It turned out really cute.

    Welcome and best of luck!

We're having g/g twins, but I had my nursery theme picked out long before we knew. We did bumblebees, with a yellow, green, and periwinkle blue color wheel. It came out so cute! Once I found out it was girls I dolled it up a bit, but honestly it would still work for either. I think any bug theme would work unisex. Bees, butterflies, etc.

Welcome to TS! Try Pottery Barn, they have some really adorable gender neutral themes.

Congratulations and welcome to the site! I am also having boy/girl twins. We went with a rather "themeless" theme... we're painting the room a light green, kind of sage (it matches the blinds we hung in there), and the bedding for the girl is pink, flowery quilt and the boy's is a light blue quilt with little airplanes. We got wooden signs for over their beds that say "Thank heaven for little girls" and "Thank heaven for little boys", in blue and pink. This way I figure we can add whatever boy or girl things we want, without having to be stuck with a certain character or animal. T
Good luck and have fun with it! We had tossed around the idea of football/cheerleading, and night&day (using dark blue for the boy and having a space theme, and light blue for the girl, with birds, flowers, a rainbow, etc.)

Congrats and welcome to TS!!! We had this issue too, because I wanted very girly things and very boyish things...and it was hard to mix the two.

We opted for a gender neutral "theme" and I use that term loosely. Ben had a blue gingham bumper and Hannah had a red gingham bumper. I got these for dirt cheap at TJ Maxx, then jazzed it up with Pottery Barn sheets and mobiles. The bedding we chose had animals with gingham ABCs all around.

For photos, we chose animal themed pics to match the animals on the bedding. We picked these up at various places, including IKEA, Target, and TJ Maxx.

Congratulations and welcome to TS! Some nursery ideas would be alphabets, Winnie the Pooh, animals, a pretty blue & pink pattern, etc. Go the nursery bedding section of a website like Babies R Us and look through their choices. If you can narrow it down to three or so, that will help you focus. Congrats again!

    First off, congrats and welcome!

We are using PBK A-Z bedding. It's a lot of primary colors. We're painting the walls a soft cowslip type yellow and using primary colors for other accents.

I'm having twin girls but I found some cool bedding from Dwell that comes in both pink and blue (pattern is Forest). I think there are a lot of designs out there that are offered in pink and blue. If we were having a boy and girl, I was going to make the base/common colour chocolate (yes, chocolate - it looks awesome with light pink and light blue!) and then paint one wall pink and one wall blue, incorporate the bedding in the same two shades and add personal touches. The nice thing about the chocolate colour is that it can be updated as the kids grow out of their 'nursery'/pink/blue stuff. We've got a chocolate rug, faux mink blankets and pillows, and dark chocolate wicker accents. All that mixed in with the pink is beautiful - and it would be with a light blue as well.

    Have fun!
