Hi, I was reading a book Twin Sense and they mentioned this website/forum. I'm 40 years old and this is my 7th pregnancy and going to be my 3rd & 4th babies. We found out in October we were carrying Fraternal Twins. I'm currently 12 weeks pregnant. Looking forward learning a lot and getting to know other Moms here.

Congratulations! I am also due with twins in June. I am due June 6. I also have a 9 year old, a 7 year old and a 4 year old. We don't know yet if our twins are fraternal or identical.

Hi Erin nice to meet you. I am also newer here myself. I am between 14-15wks depending on which twin you are asking about as they measure about 4-5 days apart. Go figure. I always go off the smaller twins due date just to be safe.
These twin boys will make 3 & 4 for us as well. We have boys 5yr & 3 yr old. They were spontaneous and I didn't have the 1st risk factor for twins. We were shocked to say the least, but in a nice way. :)
My boys are di/di which means they have sep sacs and placenta's. I guess our next surprise will be finding out if they are frat or ID. Until I found this forum I always assumed sep sacs = frat. I have learned so much just reading through old posts here. I am sure you will to. Hope all goes well for you and the lil ones!!!

Thank you for the warm welcomes :)

I just had my CVS done yesterday - so hopefully we'll know by next week whether or not everything is ok with these guys.

Did anyone ever have real issues with reflux from early in the pregnancy? I ended up in the ER last night because I was worried about having so much pain in my stomach and throwing up - after having the procedure earlier in the day.

Hi Erin! I'm glad you've found us- the more the merrier!

As to the reflux- I think I was about 12 weeks or so when I started buying Maalox & Tums by the gallon. I'd alternate them, but still did think they were working so well. What really worked for me were calcium & magnesium supplements recommended to me by Dr. Barbara Luke's book "When You're Expecting Twins, Triplets or Quads". An added bonus is that the supplements are also supposed to ward off contractions (which I never had until my water broke at 37w 5d- 5 days after going off of the supplements).

    Good luck and stay healthy!
