Hi everyone. I'm Jenn, and I just had fraternal twin girls on January 15th. They join their big sister who just turned 9 on the 21st of April, so I've had a looooong time in between kids. I found out I was having two instead of one when I was 5 months pregnant and going in for the routine ultrasound. Luckily, they were perfectly healthy and I even carried them to 35 weeks 5 days!

It's nice to be among people who understand what I'm going through adjusting to life with two small children. And expect me to be posting lots of questions and replies in the near future (if the girls give me a chance to sit down and type for more than two minutes that is!).

I do have a question, and I'm sorry if it has already been posted recently (like I said... they're already starting to fuss so I've got to make this quick). Was gestational diabetes a common thing with having multiples, and for those who had it as well, did regular diabetes set in with anyone? I'm trying hard to lose the excess weight but it's difficult to diet and exercise properly at this point with a full time job and two little ones. I'm just scared I'll get the type of diabetes that doesn't go away a lot easier than if I didn't have the gestational diabetes in the first place. Can't wait for it to get just a little warmer... then we can go walking together!

Thanks all, and again, I look forward to learning lots of info from this site!

    Jenn

:wavey: Hi and welcome to the first year! I'm so glad you found us! I also don't know anything about GD, but you may want to ask in the Heath Issues forum as there may be some ladies in there that could help.
