    HI there
I'm 29 weeks with twin girls. I was in the hospital last weekend with contractions but luckily they calmed down after 3 shots of trib. and IV fluids. I am not dialated or effaced either. So this is my first week out of work and home on the couch....modified bedrest. It's hard because we also have a 5 year old girl and 3 year old girl. My husband has been awesome doing EVERYTHING. He did seem disappointed though when he found out I couldn't go back to work. He has been home with our girls for a few years and looking for a job. Now the pressure is on....because once my sick time runs out (40 days) we have zero income!!!!! I'm trying not to worry about it too much. I just pray that God will send him a job soon!!!!!! Well, that's the scoop. It's hard to sit around when I see everyone doing everything around me...but I"m also savoring the rest because I've been running myself into the ground lately and I KNOW I will be wishing for this rest in a few months!!!!!!

    Hi Shannon,

I am almost 12 weeks and on bedrest for the past two weeks due to some bleeding. We have a 2,2 year old and it is kind of hard to stay in bed during a day, but I am trying my best :) My husband is a great help, he does not mind doing everything that needs to be done, day or night... I can relate to what you feel about not being able to help with work. My husband got laid off 3 weeks ago from his main job (he works 2 jobs) and I wanted to try to work extra hours myself (I work part time from home) to help out, but since I am on bedrest , I won't be able to do so... I feel stressed and hopeless sometimes because the economy is not getting any better, and it so hard to find a decent job these days, we will also loose our insurance at the end of the month :( But I think we need to focus on good staff that God have given us, and to hope for the best. Whatever happens- happens for a reason.
Good Luck to you and your family. And Happy Holidays!!

It is hard.. I am 25 weeks and have been on bedrest for the last week. My husband leaves for work at 8 am and returns anywhere between 9 pm - 1 am the next day. Its just me and my almost 4 year old.

Hi Ladies! I just wanted to check in and say you can do it!!! Believe me....I know it is hard. I spent over 5 weeks in the hospital on bedrest. It is really hard but you can do it. I also have a 2 1/2 year old daughter who didn't understand why Mommy wasn't at home. We just made sure we told her that Mommy's tummy hurt and the doctor was making it better. After seeing our little girls for the first time on December 16 every second was worth it! They were born at 32 weeks 3 days and are still in the NICU but they are absolutely precious!! Just remember that this will all be a distant memory! Good luck!

    You can do it!!!

I was on bedrest for 15 weeks. Delivered my twins at 33 weeks...........I'm convinced the bedrest is what enabled me to make it 33 weeks. Hang in there....

My twins are now 5 weeks old and it is already getting hard for me to remember what I did for those 15 weeks! My laptop kept me sane and being able to chat with other ladies in the same boat really helped.

That is fantastic! I have been on bedrest for two weeks and God willing will make it to week 35-37. That would be a total of 9 weeks of bedrest. I am so happy to hear that you made it through 15 weeks of bedrest :D .

I wish the the ladies with the earlier posts the best of luck. Whether you are a religious or spiritual person, I think it is still very important to have faith. Dealing with bedrest and bringing healthy babies into the world is stressful enough and on top of that we have to deal with one of the worst economic crisises. Please keep up your spirits. The most improtant thing is for you, your babies and family to be healthy and well. There is always a solution for any other problems that arise. Have faith that everyting will work itself out. We have no control over the future, but we do have control over how we respond to it. I will keep all the expecting mothers in my prayers.

I have been on bedrest for 3 weeks now and I am only 20 weeks. I really don't know how I am going to do this for the next 15 weeks (I hope). I read a lot, but that gets old after a while. I have my four dogs to keep me company.
