After this week's growth scan, my babies had a 40% discordance. So now I am on bedrest. They are hopeful that the less calories I use, the more will go to the babies - especially the smaller one. It feels weird to be laying in bed when I feel fine. But, I really don't want them to try and take the babies this week.
So I lay in bed all day, and eat...and eat...and eat high protein especially. I hope they will see some improvement this week and I will be keeping these babies cooking for several more weeks!

It's tough but you can do it!!! I've been on bedrest for 9 weeks. I ended up borrowing a recliner because laying in bed or on a couch killed my back. (Although I don't have to lay on my side at all times- not sure if you do.) Good luck! Keep those twinkies cookin!! :winking0009:

This is my 5th week of bed rest for a short cervix. It isn't fun but it's definitely doable. I'm expecting 2 more weeks of bed rest before I deliver. I suggest getting things to do gathered around you. Reading, tv/dvd player, computer ;) , puzzles etc anything you enjoy doing. I've actually done some sewing and some volunteer work. The volunteer work consisted of calling people on the phone and sending emails for Girl Scouts. I'll be glad when I get these babies are ready and I can start walking the hospital halls. :icon_biggrin:

Another bed rester here! Cervix issues too. The best thing we can do is stay strong to keep these pumpkins
cooking. I've been in the hospital for almost 6 weeks...aghhhhhh.... and I'm only 29 weeks. Everything
is such a big guessing game?! Dr.'s and specialists take it day by day- week by week- So hang in there!

this is your chance to milk all the waiting on you can get. After you have those babies, it's all about them. right now, it's all about you. Take this opportunity and run with it.

Get some movies, magazines and let others take care of you.

We're in the same boat. I am on moderate bed rest because of IUGR. We live on 3 day intervals of bed rest and going to u/s to see that their condition hasn't changed. My next big goal is one more week. Grow babies grow!! Good luck!

just like tina i have been on hospital bedrest for 6 weeks....

I have been in my bed at home since Thanksgiving....

One piece of advice - foam mattress or something to keep your bed at home from getting an indentation....

Before I left for bedrest to the hospital I noticed an huge indentation in my bed at home - Now I know i will have to get a new one.

    Oh well...

    Hang in there...

I have had a really hard time with not being active. I stay on the internet and on the phone a lot!

Just 10 more days til my delivery date - COUNT down!!

I have a good difference in my boy/girl twins and they aren't worried at all. they like that he is bigger.
The Peri said something along the lines that this may be the way they would have grown gestating seperately, as the girl looks to go the same size as my DD.

    Good Luck!!

I'm going on week 5 of rest now, egg crate mattress on both my bed and the couch helps. Also, if your couch tends to sag a nice board unter the cushions can keep you from getting sucked in so bad!!

Well, I ended up in the hospital for 5 days. The flow through my daughter's cord was intermittently stopping. I had to be continuously monitored. I got my steroid shots, because they thought they would have to deliver them over the weekend. But Monday they said she looked okay, so I am back to home bedrest. It is WAY harder to do this at home than in the hospital, but I am getting better at ignoring the mess around me and saying "no" to my daughter :( .

I go back to the peri today, they are hoping I make it to 30 weeks.
