    Hello,
I am 29.5 weeks pregnant and was put on best rest exactly at 28 weeks due to dialation and contractions. I just now got a lap top with wireless access so I can finally start reading posts and communicating with the outside world again. I am allowed to come to the couch, get up for bathroom breaks, sit propped up on the couch with my feet off the floor and can fix a light breakfast or lunch as long as I am not standing too long. I have been on Brethine off and on for the last week, and have a home contraction monitor I have to wear for two hours a day to monitor the amount of contractions I am having (most of which I cannot feel). I am looking forward to visiting with folks here- and feeling support and understanding from those who know first hand how frustrating this all can be!
    Thanks!

Welcome! I'm glad you found us. I'm in my 29th week too, going on my 7th week of bedrest for preterm labor. Your laptop will be your new best friend!

Welcome to the bedrest forum.... I've been on bed rest since 15 weeks with similiar privledges as you. I would follow your doc orders because it really does seem to help ( I've actually just been given a little more privledges!) and we are here if you need anything!!

Welcome!! I have been on bedrest since 25 weeks and since I have been given lots more priv. I still keep it easy, because I don't want my priv. revoked. This is a great forum. You will find all of the girls to be very supportive! Do you know what you are having? Feel free to PM me anytime.

I am also new to this site. I was put on bedrest at 22 weeks for dilation and contractions on Thanksgiving week. I had a cerclage done and was released from the hospital and put on bedrest; still on procardia. I am now 25 weeks with twin girls, I never thought I would end up on bedrest because I thought I was doing good so far, I guess not. I thank God for my husband we have a 4 year old girl (Amber) and my mom help out picking her up from school while my husband goes to work, but he does everything around the house plus more. I wish you ladies all the luck and we can get through this together it is for a good cause.

I am on bedrest too (just started about a week and half ago as well -- was on more of a "modifed bedrest" before that time. TS will be a life-saver for you. It helps keep me occupied. I never thought I would end up here as well. My mom had twins (my brother and I) and so did my grandmother and neither had any problems with preterm labor (and were never on any bedrest). I figured I would make it just fine too..oh well. I am just hoping to hang in here as long as I can so the babies can keep growing!!!!
