new pathfinder & 3 carseats??

We will be buying a new vehicle in the new year ( my 4 runner is getting old) and I really like the looks of the new pathfinder, but I was wondering if anyone has one with 3 seats across, and if it works. Please ladies, don't send me 100 replys about how much you love your minivans, I only want an suv with 7 passenger cap- don't want to offend anyone, hahaha.

The Sunshine Kids Radian Carseat can go 3 across. It's approved to 60 lbs and can be rear or forward facing. It exceeds the safety standards and can fold for easy portability. I'm getting 3 for my Audi Wagon this spring when the new baby arrives. I think the britax roundabout can also go 3 across in some larger cars, but it is only to 40 lbs. HTH

 

We have the Radians right now with two for the girls and then a Graco Snugride for the baby. After the baby outgrows the Snugride, we'll get another Radian. It was definitely cheaper to buy new carseats that we could fit three across than to buy a new car.

 

I have the radian car seats also and I like them. They are in captains seats in our mini van. You can fit three in a row though.

 

Sorry to hijack the thread.

We bought a Radian a few weeks ago. And we HATE it. When Aaron sits in the deat, the straps do not adjust - it's like they get stuck. We can pull and pull on the adjustor strap sticking out of the front of the seat, but it won't budge. If he's not sitting in the seat, it adjusts without a problem. We've contacted Sunshine Kids, but they weren't much help. Please . Is there some trick to adjusting the straps that we don't know?

 

I also recommend the Radians.

I am also anti-minivan. Have you looked at a SUV with 3 rows? We have a Pilot and when we have more babies, the boys will get Britax Regents for the 3rd row, and the baby/babies will go in the second row. I've also looked at the Sequia, which has captain chair options.

 

The Mercury Mountaineer will seat 3 carseats on it's 2nd row. It seats 7 total total.
